Jared Tebo and Team Orion

Jared Tebo and Team Orion

Continuing on from yesterday’s news revealing the first of Jared Tebo’s 2011 sponsors, today we have a note from the former World Champion regarding the previously announced deal with Team Orion.

I have just re-signed my 2 year contract with Team Orion. 2009 was the first year I have worked with this great company. They welcomed me with arms wide open and have been more supportive than I could have asked for. We have build a great relationship and I look forward to many more years. 2010 was a great year for us. We strengthened our relationship and as company and driver, and did what most thought could not happen. ROAR 1/8 buggy and truggy National Champion for me, and IFMAR 1/8 World Champion for Cody King. We are working hard and have many great plans for 2011. Oscar and I work close together on the electric side and this being an electric worlds year, we have big plans. Adrien and I are very close as well and are always working together to better our nitro side. There are also plans on that side for 2 years from now. I would like thank everyone at Team Orion, Philippe Neidhart, Oscar Jensen, Adrien Bertin, and Joe Pillars. I will be running Team Orion Engines, Pipes, Glow Plugs in my 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy. I will be using Team Orion Speed Controllers, Motors, and Batteries in my 1/8 Electric Buggy. In 1/10 I will be using Team Orion Speed Controllers, Motors, and Batteries. Thank you for the great support.

Kyle McBride joins Durango

Young Australian wonder kid Kyle McBride looks to have made the move to Durango, becoming the 3rd major offroad driver driver to leave Mugen over the winter along with Elliot Boots and Renaud Savoya. The 4th place finisher at the World Championships in Pattaya, Thailand has been testing the new DNX-408 recently and obviously likes what he found. If confirmed, which looks likely, he will join Hupo Honigl, Ryan Lutz and Elliot Boots on their international team. We should expect an official announcement anytime soon.

Jared Tebo

With all the new signings and news of contracts around the new year, World’s top qualifier Jared Tebo got in touch to let us about his different sponsors beginning with Kyosho with whom he is beginning the 3rd year of a 5 year contract.

My first two years back driving for Team Kyosho have been great. We are always building our relationship and learning more as a team. I have been working harder than in the past to better my communication on what I need in the equipment. Also on the testing and practicing side. I know what I can do and we, driver and car designer, are going to be working very hard in 2011. I had an amazing year in 2010 and plan on working harder and having another great year in 2011. Kyosho will also be doing all they can on building the best cars for our team and customers. 2010 was amazing for both myself and Team Kyosho. We did what most would thought could not happen; ROAR National Champion, and IFMAR TQ and World Champion. I would like to thank Team Kyosho Japan, Team Kyosho America, and Joe Pillars for this great opportunity and look forward to many more great years and continuing our great relationship. I will be running Kyosho cars in 1/8 Nitro Buggy, 1/8 Nitro Truggy, 1/8 Electric Buggy, 1/10 Modified 2wd, 1/10 Modified 4wd, and 1/10 Modified 2wd SC. Thank you all very much for the support.
