Winter Indoor Series Rd2 – Report

This past weekend saw the running of the Winter Indoor Series round 2 in Sundsvall, Sweden. The track was on the small side but made for good racing and fast lap times. The day started off with two reseeding practice runs and in 2WD it was Elias Johansson at the top with teammate Lukas Larsson in 2nd and Martin Johansson Nielsén in 3rd. In 4WD it was once again Elias Johansson who was the king of the hill with Martin Johansson Nielsén 2nd and Felix Angseryd 3rd.

Jesper Rasmussen wins at Danish EP On-road Champs Rd3

The third round of the Danish Electric On-road Championships was held at the Aalborg RC club over the weekend. The event was held in several classes and in Formula it was 1/10th Buggy ace, Jesper Rasmussen with the sweep after the qualifiers. Jesper took the overall TQ from Jacob Bjerregaard and he also brought home the wins in all three A-mains for the overall from Jacob Bjerregaard in 2nd. Moguls Pedersen and Henrik Karlsson came in 3rd and 4th respectively.

Mason Eppley doubles at Fallout RC Arenacross

The Fallout RC Arenacross race was held in Moses Lake, Washington this past weekend in several nitro and electric off-road classes. In 1/8th Nitro Buggy it was MasoN Eppley with the TQ and he would also come out on top in the A-main event, taking the win a lap in front of Tayler Wonders in 2nd. Nick Wautlet would come in 3rd as Carson Phipps and Jade Russell completed the top 5 results. In the Expert E-Buggy category it was again Mason Eppley who dominated, taking the TQ and win after the triple A-mains. Mason would win A1 and A2 by a clear margin for an early overall in front of Tayler Wonders and Nick Wautlet. Derek Rasheed and Matt Dortmund came in 4th and 5th respectively.

Louth RCCC Schumacher Winter Series Rd2 – Report

The second round of the Schumacher Winter Series presented by the Louth Radio Control Car Club was held this past weekend. 60 entries across four classes made for a competitive field spread out over the 13.5 Blinky class, 17.5 Open, GT12 and Tamiya Truck. In 13.5 Blinky Chris Lovely was able to take the TQ spot with a commanding pace with his Xray as debutant Craig Mawson would line up 2nd with his Schumacher, Andrew Green 3rd, Championship leader Nathan Winyard 4th and Mikey Mansell and his Capricorn 5th. Chris was able to bridge a gap after the first few corner tussle which saw 2nd, 3rd and 4th swap on many occasions. Ultimately Nathan Winyard would power through to 2nd, and Andrew Green would secure the final spot on the podium.

Andy DiBrino wins at Winter Off-road Series Rd2

PDX RC Unground of Portland, Oregon held round 2 of their Rockstar Winter Off-road Series this past weekend. In 13.5t Stadium Truck it was Andy DiBrino with he overall TQ and he would also sweep the single 5-minute A-main event, taking the win some two laps in front of Jack Leighan in 2nd. Kevin Focht would round out the top 3 another lap down.

Graham Alsop wins at HNMC Winter Series Rd3

The third round of the popular HNMC Winter Series was held last weekend. With all most 60 entries the and daylight drawing in at 16:30 race control would need to be swift. Qualifying saw Graham Alsop taking the TQ in the Nitro Buggy class while Simon Reeves TQed E-Buggy. Over in Nitro Truggy it was Neil Sivins with the TQ. In the 20-minute Nitro Buggy A-main it was Graham Alsop with the win some 15 seconds in front of Simon Reeves. Lewis Jones would round out the top 3. Over in the E-Buggy main final it was Simon Reeves with the win from Darren Hayden-Ball and Dominic Powles in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Finally in Truggy it was Neil Sivins with the win from Darren Roper and Warabe Tatekoji.

2018/19 RugRacers Rd2 – Report

Round 2 of the 2018/19 RugRacers series started with a full capacity entry. The new corners from the opening round proving popular with the drivers, making the track space bigger and racing closer and this round would see a very fast layout. 13.5 Blinky Touring was extremely close. Ashley Wiffen set the FTQ pace in rounds 1 to 3 with Jamie Hickin taking FTQ in round 4 by three hundreds of a second to snatch pole position, the Finals would see Jamie lead away and Ashley lay on heavy pressure, despite this Jamie held on to take the win ahead of Ash with Phil Vickers finishing 3rd overall.
