Mike Gosvig wins at Danish 1/8 Off-road Nationals Rd4

Mike Gosvig wins at Danish 1/8 Off-road Nationals Rd4

Round four of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the ENB-RC track in Holstebro on a technical dirt track. In the Nitro Truggy class Mike Gosvig took the overall TQ after winning the third and fourth qualifying round. Rain before the finals and even at the start of the main made for a muddy track that saw Mike starting from the pole position and building a gap on the field within the first couple of minutes. Around halfway into the race Mike had build a 5-lap lead as many other drivers struggled with flameouts but his car started to become heavier with every lap and so his pit crew decided to take an extra stop to clean the rims and body. Mike rejoined the action with a 3-lap margin on the runner-up spot and in the final stages of the race his truggy again had collected a lot of dirt so that he was hardly able to jump the obstacles, but Gosvig took it easy and brought home a secure win in front of 2nd placed Jesper Lund and Christian Willams who rounded out the podium in 3rd. Behind the trio Henrik Fihl, Tim Culmsee and Dennis Frandsen completed the top 6 result.

Round 3 of the French 1/8th Nitro On-road Nationals was held this past weekend in Neuville le Poitou with 66 drivers in attendance on a short track with high tyre wear. The National class drivers were only able to complete two rounds of qualifying until the rain kicked  in and it was local driver Faisal Affejee who took the TQ some 4 seconds ahead of Micheal Fouin who in turn was 9 seconds clear of championship leader Nicola Miramont.
