Joakim Niclassen takes Nordic Championships

Joakim Niclassen takes Nordic Championships

Last weekend the Nordic Championships took place at Hvervenbukta, Oslo. The very high bite and bumpy Astroturf track had a lot of elevation changes. Although some of the usual talented drivers were missing from Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, the competition did not disappoint. By the end of Friday’s practice, Team Associated’s Joakim Niclassen was comfortable with his buggies, and was confident going into the weekend. Once qualifying started, both the driver and his cars were working perfectly and TQ was soon followed by the win.

RC Lemans Rd4 – Report

RC Lemans Rd4 – Report

Round four of this year’s RC Lemans Series was held this past weekend at the M.A.C. de Baanbrekers club in Rucphen, the Netherlands. Partly damp conditions made things interesting, nevertheless most of the qualifiers and finals could be run in dry conditions. With the qualifiers not being counted by points and following a dry and a slightly damp qualifier the final round would be the rocket round to qualify for the A-mains in both the Modified and Stock classes. In the Modified class it was Reinder Wilms who was able to score the only 23 laps qualifying run to take a maiden TQ in the RC Lemans Series. Behind the Dutchman Tobias Weist, Sven Stoffels, Tim Altmann and Marc Lorenz completed the top 5 with all four being covered by only a couple of seconds.

With such a fantastic start to the weekend at the JConcepts Summer INS, dominating his rivals in all 4 classes and already earning the overall TQ in all 4, the final round of qualifying for Rivkin was used to break in tires for the mains.
