Heshiki & Rossi win at Brazilian Championship

The Brazilian Electric On-road Championship was held at the APPA track in Sao Paolo recently. In the Touring 13.5T Stock class it was Erich Heshiki who took the overall title coming from the 3 spot on the grid. Flavio Elias snatched the runner-up spot from Dennis Pickthall in 3rd. In the 1/8th Electric GT class, and despite it being run for the first time, a lot of entries were counted. Eduardo Rossi would come out on top from Andre Pantalone in 2nd and Eduardo Pin in 3rd.

BRCA Clubman’s Series Rd7 – Report

The last round of the BRCA Clubman’s finished the season as it started with a very wet weekend at the popular Cotswold track. But unlike the first round it rained on both the practice Saturday and Sunday race day. Everyone still had five completely dry meetings in-between so a great seven round championship for the 230 competitors that raced over the six months. The organising club had 83 drivers practicing throughout the Saturday. There were a few car failures with water finding its way into the electrics, but most eventually overcame this with various ways of waterproofing their cars from boxes, conformer, plastidip and blue tack. There was the usual seven rounds of controlled practice in heat order which has become the norm now.

Aaron Stringer wins at SEQ Interclub race Rd3

The third round of the South East Queensland Interclub race was held over the weekend at the Sunshine Coast track. Over 50 drivers attended the 2-day round and in the Nitro Buggy class it was Aaron Stringer with the TQ, giving him the pole position for the A-main. The main was set down for 30 minutes and after a small mistake on lap one Aaron was never headed again and lapped the whole field taking the win from Alex Bernadzik in 2nd and Geezer on the 3 spot.

Xray Racing Series Slovenia – Announcement

Xray have announced the 2018/19 Xray Racing Series Slovenia. The 4-race series kicks off on the weekend of the 11th of November in Medeuzza, Italy and concludes on the 24th of February at the same venue. Classes run are Touring Stock 13.5T, Touring Stock 21.5T and Formula 21.5T. XRS handout motors, Hudy tyres and additive are mandatory and more information can soon be found here.

Joseph Quagraine wins at Border Wars race Rd4

Round 4 of the Border Wars series was held at Sun City R/C Raceway recently. JQRacing’s own Joseph Quagraine would bring home the TQ and win in the Open Nitro Buggy A-main. JQ left behind Wyatt Beiter in 2nd, some four laps down, while Xray’s Cody Taylor rounded out the top 3 results. Mugen’s Casey Pack came in 4th, Team Associated’s Scotty Brewer obtained the 5th spot.

Quentin Leroux wins French 200mm finale

The final round of the French 1/10th 200m Nitro Touring National Championship was held recently with the 45-minutes main final being won by Capricorn’s Quentin Leroux. Xray’s Michael Derderian came in 2nd to finish the championship on the runner-up spot behind teammate Leo Arnold while Shepherd’s Basile Concialdi rounded out the top 3 results at the final round.

Dodson & Fera win at Speedworld Raceway club race

Speedworld Raceway of Roseville, California held a club race this past weekend. Saturday would see open practice with the whole race taking place on Sunday. The track was nicely prepped with soda water, making for high traction the while day. In Touring 17.5T Stock it was Chris Dodson with the win from a chasing Alex Fera who qualified 4th but managed to find some more speed in the final. Behind the two teammates, Joe Huynh would round out the podium. Over in the Formula class it was Alex Fera who started from 2nd but was able to take profit of a DNF of the leading driver whose car’s spur gear got smashed.

Michal Orlowski sweeps Dart Cup Rd6

The sixth and final round of the popular Schumacher Dart Cup 1:10 off-road series was held this past weekend at the Astroturf RC Track in Serock, Poland. Mother nature presented some unusual conditions for the drivers. The race started in hot summer weather with temperatures in the high 20°C range on Friday while on Saturday morning temperature dropped more than 10 degree Celsius and was only around 13°C. On midday the rain started and the rainy, windy autumn weather continued until the end of the race. What followed was a never ending search for the best tyres and setup for the changing track conditions.
