Martin Lissau wins 2007 Danish Nats

Xray have a report from their team driver Martin Lissau on the 5th and last race of the Danish 1/10 nitro touring car championship was held in Naestved RC Model Center. “I had to finish in the top 7 to be the National champion. It was hard because I had no tools and no staff with me as all were prepared for Worlds Championship in 1/5 cars that I have attended the day after the final run. After the qualification I was second, just behind Martin Fish, another XRAY driver. The final was without any stress as Martin got interference problems so he had to retire. Jesper Hoh could take the victory in this final as I made some mistakes. I finished on the second place, Dennis Hassing could take third place”.

Adam Drake wins Novarossi GP

Adam Drake wins Novarossi GP

Our partners Neo Buggy are reporting that Adam Drake has taken victory at this years Novarossi GP in the UK, ahead of fellow Losi driver Darren Bloomfield. Bloomfield dominated the final, but at about 33mins had a driveshaft problem letting Drake and Associated racer Neil Cragg through. After rejoining, Darren was driving ballistically fast having re-passed Cragg, he was catching Drake who was about a lap in front, however a few errors by Bloomfield meant that the gap was enough for the Drake to take the win.

XRAY Column – Hot Summer Washout

XRAY Column - Hot Summer Washout

The 12th instalment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj talks about this summers busy racing schedule and goes into details about the good, the bad and the unfortunate from each of the major events that they attended.

With great results at the Euros B where Team XRAY won the European Championship title, and also with good performance results at all the national races and the result at the Warm-up, I was very confident for the Euros. The race actually started very well and not only Yannick but also the rest of the team were doing very well. Clearly it was Yannick who was super fast from Day 1 and in the last qualifiers was having a “good battle with Robert Battle” who at the end TQ’d just 0.5 sec in front of Yannick.

2007 RC Pro East Series Rd3 - Report

We received a report from Gene Hickersen from the 3rd and final round of the 2007 RC Pro East Series, which was held last weekend in Savannah Georgia at Phil Hurd Raceway. It was a good turnout of about 140 entries as the best of the East battle for the title of RC Pro East Champion. The track was a good combination of fast sections and really slow sections with tons of small double jumps and 1 huge double jump in the middle. There was no place to make up any time on the layout, but many places where you could easily loose time; so the racing was very close as everyone had about the same lap times.
