Team Associated RC10T7 & RC10SC7 Team Kits

Team Associated has released their latest 1:10 Truck and Short Course kits, the RC10T7 & RC10SC7 Team Kits.  Both based on Team Associated’s RC10B7 platform, the Team Kits are the next iteration of the successful truck and short course truck platforms. Design goals were to lower CG, add durability, and incorporate the RC10B7 adjustability and performance. Engineers inside Team Associated’s Area 51 first priority was the design of the new 3-gear laydown transmission to reduce drag and transfer all of the power to the larger tyres.  Both kits shares key components with the RC10B7 and RC10B7D Team Kits, making it easier than ever to run multiple classes at the same time.  The primary suspension update is to lower the CG with shorter 25mm long front and 31mm long rear 13mm big bore shocks.  The new chassis design is a stronger truck version of the RC10B7 buggy design and gets a new truck specific gull wing long arm suspension to improve grip and predictability in all conditions.  On top of that, the kit includes updated zero KPI steering blocks and updated caster blocks, along with the legacy B7 features for tuning the front end feel. The new steel front inner hinge pin brace and updated B7 V2 caster block add to front end durability.  The new RC10T7 offers the same mounting locations along with anti-roll bar hardware as the RC10B7 while pairing nicely with wide mount anti-roll bars that fit the new suspension arms.

JConcepts 0 Offset Alu Clamping Servo Horn

New from JConcepts comes this 0 Offset Aluminium Clamping Servo Horn.  The 0 off-set nature of this design works in conjunction with the #5209 JConcepts steering kit and in particular the alternate pick-up point on the JConcepts bell cranks matches this new servo horn and provides a proper alignment.  The broad base of the horn tapers to the connection area where the steering takes place.  The boss on top surrounds the ball-end and provides a hefty surface for steering direction.  Small ribs have been added on the sides to help strengthen the unit in a twisting fashion and a deep pocket hides the 3mm standard mounting screw.  The entire horn has been retouched with chamfer highlight edging and laser etched with JC and the tooth count for high-end looks and authenticity.  Available in black anodising, the 16.5mm clamping servo horn is great for vehicles such as the RC10B7 using the #5209 steering kit and others which require the same height.

Boda adds another French National title with AE

Joining Team Associated at the end of 2024, Clement Boda has given the US manufacturer it second French National Title of the 2025 season after taking the 1:8 Nitro Buggy title with a victory at the season finale at Viglain.  The recent eBuggy World Championship finalist and 2025 1:10 2WD French Champion was up against another Barcelos finalist, Noha Ben Mohamed, for the title.  The Sparko driver, and winner of the 1:10 4WD National Championship earlier this month, would take the early advantage securing the overall TQ in a rain effected qualifying when he topped 2 of the three rounds.  Behind him it was the Mugen Seiki of newly crowned European B Champion driver Hugo Tavernon who secured P2 while Boda was P4.  With a difficult Semi leaving him 9th on the grid for the 45-minute Main, it would be a tough race for 16-year-old Ben Mohamed and he finished 5th while having won his Semi to secure pole position up front Boda could control the race to take the win ahead of Tavernon and Jordan Lot and the secure the overall National title.

Kato secures 2025 Asian Buggy Championships

Infinity’s Kouki Kato has been crowned the Nitro Buggy Champion for the 2025 Team Cayote Asian Buggy Championships.  With the final of the four-round championship, which was due to take place last weekend, called off due to civil unrest in Indonesia, Kato’s Championship was based on the best two from three completed rounds, the Japanese star backing up his popular win at the Philippine Masters with a second placed finish at the rain impacted third round of the series at Pine Hills Dirt Racing in Australia.  The series had earlier opened at the popular Counties RC in New Zealand.  A win at that Pine Hills round was enough to promote Australia’s Alex Bernadzik (Team Associated) to second in the series, with compatriot Caleb Noble (Tekno) wrapping the top three overall, just one point clear of Finland’s Pekko Iivonen (Mayako), with Pekko’s Australian team-mate Jayden Edmunds, winner at the opening round at Counties RC in New Zealand, a close-up fifth.

JConcepts Illuzion 7.0″ Monster Wing w/ Centre Divider

New from JConcepts comes this Illuzion 7.0″ Monster Wing with Center Divider for 1:10 Offroad Buggy.  The Florida company has championed the large 7” Illuzion style wing since early 2000’s and used it with several model bodies over the years.  Originally released in 2005, the Illuzion 7” wing was used by Spencer Rivkin to win the 2019 IFMAR World Championship in 2WD Buggy along with the JConcepts centre divider.  Combining these items has been quite routine over the years when racers are looking for additional rear grip and drag.  20 years later, JConcepts has revived this design, added a few exclusive new features, and added the centre divider into the same base molded feature.  The broad base, the ability to run a long chord length, and updated clearance allows the rear tires to blend nicely with the traditional V-shaped figure.  The item arrives un-trimmed so the user can adjust sizing to the regulated rules to get maximum performance out of the package.  The divider can also be trimmed to specification and drops right down and maintains the same look and profile as the monster wing itself.
