Destiny RX-10SR brass weight option parts

Destiny have introduced a new brass centre balance weight as well as brass suspension mounts for the RX-10SR touring car. The centre brass weight weighs in at 35g and it was designed to not only add weight to the most central area of the car but it also acts as a sturdy battery stop. The weight comes in a shiny natural finish and with laser-etched markings. Also new are a total of five suspension mounts in the form of 1-piece A, B, and C suspension hangers along split A and B mounts. All are machined from heavy brass material to strategically add weight in the front or rear area of the car in order to achieve the minimum weight or to fine-tune the overall weight balance. The parts come in a natural finish and laser-etched for easy identification.

Capricorn F1-02 1/10th formula car kit

Coming soon from Capricorn is the F1-02 1/10th formula car kit. The pan car makes use of a new full-carbon fibre front end with different inserts allowing to admits the caster angle in a 3 degrees to 12 degrees range while the wheel camber can be set in a 1 degree to 2.5 degrees range. The servo has found a new in-line mounting position while the LiPo battery can be attached in an in-line of transversal position – depending on the track’s traction conditions. In terms of the suspension the car offers adjustable front downstops thanks to threaded kingpins and a rear weight balance option allows to fine-tune the weight balance. The kit is rounded out by a rear droop adjustment using a dedicated nut on the centre shock and an aluminium lightweight rear axle comes standard in the kit. The already introduced laser-cut precision shims continue to be used for the adjustment of the front roll centre and rear ride height.

Another easy TQ for Coelho in Q2

Bruno Coelho claimed another straight forward TQ run in the second round of qualifying at this year’s TITC.  Having opened his title defence with the fastest time in Q1, the Xray driver again had a similar time advantage only this time over Naoto Matsukura.  In terms of the Top 5 times, the result was almost identical to Q1 with only Matsukura and Infinity team-mate Akio Sobue switching positions with Alexander Hagberg and Marc Rheinard repeating their Q1 positions.  Naoki Akiyama would post the 6th fastest time to be the best Yokomo as Ronald Volker continues to struggle while Serpent’s Vitkor Wilck made up for a DNF in the first round to record a P7 ahead of Meen Vejrak and Volker.

Speedmerchant New School reactive frontend kit

Coming from Speedmerchant is the New School reactive frontend kit tailored to high traction black carpet racing. The kit comes with the new 3-D-printed suspension blocks that the team have been testing for the past season with great results. The revised suspension geometry shines on the high traction black carpet found throughout the U.S. and the kits include everything needed to replace the upper arms on Speedmerchant’s regular New School suspension. This way, drivers have both complete set-ups, and can swap out the solid to the new reactive upper arms in no time at all. The conversion works on both 12th and World GT-R cars as the overall feel is a little less touchy, easier to drive on centre, less tippy, and more steering in the middle/out of a turn. The team guys still prefer to run the stock New School suspension on their RoadKills, because of its more aggressive nature and the way it attacks a corner. The standard New School is also a little better on the less tacky grey Ozite floor.

McPappy Racing pan car damper emulsion conversion

McPappy Racing have introduced an emulsion conversion for small pan car bladder-type shock absorbers. The set will convert small 7mm pan car bladder shocks, such as the Silva HSP2, Xray X12, Hot Bodies Cyclone 12, CRC Encore Micro shock, etc., into an emulsion shock. Emulsion shocks provide instant dampening whereas a bladder shock has a little more springy feel to it due to the bladder movement. This will work on any bladder shock with a 6.8mm to 7.0mm diameter piston and cap threads no larger than 9.5mm. To use, simply remove the bladder, replace with the emulsion conversion and O-ring, then replace the shock cap.
