Tamyia M-07 Concept – Teaser image

Tamiya recently released information on their forthcoming all-new M-07 Concept M-chassis kit and now a first rendering of the chassis became available. The car will adapt the chassis frame design introduced with the TA-07 Pro touring car for an easier to work on platform while long front and rear suspension arms improve overall performance. A gear differential in combination with universal driveshafts and ball bearings make for an efficient and durable drivetrain and the car usable with standard and shorty LiPo batteries without any modification. The kit is set for a release at the end of June.

Mattia Dall’Oca wins Jokerteam GT12 Champs Rd2

Round two of the Jokerteam GT12 Championship was held in Bolzano, Italy over the weekend. A chilly early morning gave way to beautiful sunshine and perfect conditions to set the stage for round two of the series while the newly designed track delivered once again optimal traction levels. This time the track was run counter clockwise meaning the drivers had to learn new lines and once the qualification rounds got under way, Mattia Dall’Oca made immediately clear that he was once again the man to beat, TQ-ing all three rounds and delivering an impressive 29-lap run in Q3. Nevertheless Ivan Milesi opposed fierce resistance by having a remarkable pace and thus securing P2 for the A-mains, just ahead of teammate Alessandro Rampini. Behind the top 3 drivers, the battle for P4 on the grid was on between Johnny Orsolin, Claudio Giovanelli, Alessandro Giubbilei and Lorenzo Crepaldi all drove within a gap of less than 2 seconds.

Kammer wins East German 1/8 IC Track regionals Rd1

Round one of the East German Nitro On-road regionals was held in Senftenberg on a technical low-grip track. In the 1/8th IC class Toni Gruber (WRC/Novarossi) would take the TQ after the qualifiers in front of the Shepherd/Mikrotek duo of Michael Kammer and Torsten Müller. After the start of the main final Toni took the lead in front of Torsten and Michael. Due to a rain shower shortly before the start of the main the track was pretty difficult to tackle, leading to early mishaps of Toni and later Torsten. Later and due to a thunderstorm the main had to be called a day some 17 minutes into the race, handing Michael Kammer the win from Xray driver Wilfried Stecker with Torsten Müller rounding out the podium.

Thanks to Torsten Müller for the report.

K-Factory ultra-lightweight servo mounting screws

HRC Distribution have introduced the K-Factory ultra-lightweight aluminium servo mounting screws. Made from aircraft-grade 7075 alloy the fasteners are of a special design with a collar right under the head that fits snugly in most servo case mounting lugs, greatly reducing the change of the servo moving in the event of a crash. The screws do away with the need for additional washers and thus make for easy and convenient building and maintenance. The screws are usable with most 1/10th and 1/8th vehicles, they come in packs of six and are available now.
