Reedy Zappers 15.2V 4S 6400mAh LiHV hardcase battery

Reedy’s Zappers Lithium batteries are now also available in a 4S LiHV version for 1/8th E-buggies and trucks. Originally referring to Reedy’s proprietary NiMH voltage enhancement technology, Zappers describe Reedy’s high-voltage LiPo battery chemistry. A 15.2V nominal voltage means that with a suitable charger, the battery can be safely charged to 17.4V total or 4.35V per cell. Even when the typical 16.8V or 4.2V/cell charging limit is enforced, the battery still offers a significant advantage thanks to a flatter discharge curve, which results in more voltage deeper into the race. A high-quality, durable hardcase helps prevent damage while embedded socket connectors keep power-robbing resistance to a minimum. A charge lead, balance lead, and male 5mm ESC connectors are included.

RDRP B64 rear chassis weight

Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced a new rear chassis balance weight for the Team Associated B64 1/10th 4WD buggy. It is the ideal tuning option for a range of track conditions as first and foremost it ensures a near perfect chassis balance when standard-size electronics and regular-weight batteries are used while also adding weight for improved rotation into corners and added traction in slippery track conditions. The weight comes machined from high-quality brass, it sports a nice black and golden finish for looks and it weighs in at 28g. Unlike RDRP’s other option parts it isn’t a direct fit as the left chassis side pod needs some DIY, although the work is carried out in under five minutes using a Dremel.

Swedish National Cup Rd3 – Report

This past weekend the third round of the Swedish National Cup was held at in Västerås at the Västerås Motorsällskap club. The astro turf track offered high traction that, in combination with the bumpy surface, made for challenging conditions for the drivers. The 2WD portion of the event was held on Saturday but massive rain falls meant the start had to be postponed. As the track dried up slowly the opening qualifiers were held on a wet track. Elias Johansson made the best out of the conditions and he took the overall TQ following wins in the opening three qualifiers. Alexander Landen came in 2nd with a strong performance from Wilhelm Skjöldebrand in 3rd.

Vaclav Broz wins at rain-shortened NEOS Rd4

The fourth round of the Nitro & Electric Offroad Series was held at the Zidlochovice track in the Czech Republic. The event started off wet and in the 1/8th E-Buggy class it was Vaclav Broz who dominated the qualifiers, taking wins in all three rounds. Sadly for the drivers and organisers more rain would flood the track and so the race director called it a day and by using the qualifying results to determine the winner it was Vaclav Broz with the E-Buggy victory.

Per Calsson wins MSC Rd5 as Pontus Larsson takes title

The fifth and final round of the Middle Swedish 1/8th Off-road Cup was held at MSK Kvarnvingarna club this past weekend. Overnight rain meant the start of the race would be delayed and even one round of qualifiers was dropped and ultimately it was Jessica Palsson who took the TQ tie on points with Pontus Larsson. The start of the 30-minute A-main then saw Pontus taking the lead, coming from the 3 spot on the grid, and he would hold onto this position until about five minutes before the end when he flipped his car which promoted Per Carlsson into the lead. With consistent laps Per was able to defend the lead from Pontus who would come in 2nd, some three seconds short of Per. Mikael Svensson came in 3rd while Jessica had to settle for 4th overall. In the championship the 2nd place was enough for Pontus to win the overall title as Jessica, who also had a shot at the championship, only finished in 4th place.
