HB Racing D817T 1/8th nitro truggy kit – Teaser

HB Racing have released a first teaser image of their soon-to-be-released D817T 1/8th scale nitro truggy. Based off of the World Championship winning D817 buggy the truggy is expected to taking over many design ideas of its buggy sibling such as a symmetrical chassis design, improved differential access, a new rear hub design, redesigned engine mount and more. All details and images are expected to surface in time for the release.

LRP FlowX Stock Spec brushless speed controller

LRP have introduced their new FlowX Stock Spec speed controller. Based off of the standard FlowX speedo the Stock Spec variant features the optimised V5.1 firmware to get the most out of today’s brushless stock motors. The Initial Drive Feel Compensation function for example adapts the throttle curve throughout the run to compensate motor fade and to ensure a constant throttle feeling till the end of a run. Also new is the BDX-S brake purpose designed for on-road and off-road stock racing classes. Other features include a blue anodised all-aluminium case, a black 175mm long receiver wire, a set of lightweight fan mount screws and all-black power wires.

Tessmann again from McBride in 2nd Truggy qualifier

Having opened the Philippine Masters with a TQ run in Truggy, Ty Tessmann repeated the feat in the second round of qualifying to hold the overnight Truggy TQ in Manila.  The Xray driver again set the fastest time from Kyle McBride, the Team Associated driver much closer to Tessmann the second time of asking.  Now running in the same heat as Tessmann & McBride after a reseeding after Q1, Aaron Stringer would complete the Top 3 followed by American Aaron Gomez, Atsushi Hara and Adam Drake, the latter 2 having some bad laps early on.

Ronnefalk takes for Buggy first qualifier

David Ronnefalk has taken the first Buggy qualifier at the Philippine Masters.  Not competing in Truggy which got qualifying at the CV Offroad Track underway, the HB Racing driver took Q1 from Kyle McBride.  Running in the second fastest heat McBride would end up 3.6-second off the TQ pace.  Having TQ’d the first Truggy qualifier, Ty Tessman would complete the Top 3 a further 3/10ths off with the Mugen of Aaron Stringer fourth fastest followed by Atsushi Hara, Richard Saxton and Adam Drake.

Tessmann opens Philippine Masters with TQ Truggy run

Ty Tessmann has opened the 7th running of the Philippine Masters with a TQ run, the Xray driver topping the first of the five qualifiers from Kyle McBride. The biggest edition of the Manila based event with drivers from 14 countries making up the record 140 entries,  Tessmann would run 10-laps on the CV Offroad Track to outpace the Team Associated of McBride by 4 and a half seconds with the race’s most experienced international competitor, Adam Drake completing the Top 3.

Schelle V2 12mm Team Associated piston tuning set

Schelle Racing Innovations have two new piston pairs as well as a full 8-pairs set to release for use on the Team Associated B6 and B64 buggies. First is the 2-hole split 1.6 and 1.7, commonly used in the front of 2WD to gain more steering indoors. Also for the 2WD or 4WD rear, the 3×1.5 bevel piston is a perfect complement to 3×1.4 front pistons in bumpier conditions. These two new pistons plus Schelle’s other six go-to sizes are included in the new Schelle tuning set of eight pairs of screw-on type V2 pistons that fit the B6, B6D, B64 and B64D. The new pistons are also available separately and the set also fits screw-on V2 shock shafts which are upgrades for B5, B5M, B5M Factory Lite, T5M, and SC5M. RDRP B6 aluminium rear gearbox brace

Revolution Design Racing Products have added another new Team Associated B6-related option part to their growing portfolio in the form of the new aluminium rear gearbox brace. The part adds much needed precision and durability to the rear section of Team Associated’s 6th generation 2WD vehicles. Replacing the standard composite part with an ultra-precise and more durable alloy part helps to get that peace of mind when the going gets tough on the track. Both the gearbox and anti-roll bar mounting threads will not strip as easily as the original composite material does, while the rigid construction adds additional strength to the rear section of the vehicle. Available in black or blue anodising and coming with silver edge details the gearbox brace also looks the part. The part fits both the B6 and B6D kits.

Yokomo Racing Performer M3/D1 optional rotors

Yokomo have unveiled new optional Racing Performer series rotors for the M3 and D1 electric brushless motors. Available are both 7.25mm RPM and 5.0mm higher torque variants of different diameters to further fine-tune the motor characteristics. Moreover the D1-specific rotors use a different magnet material to extract even more RPM from the motor. All rotors come with marked shafts for easy recognition.
