R1 Wurks Digital 2 brushless speed controller

R1 Wurks Digital 2 brushless speed controller

Coming from R1 Wurks is the new Digital 2 brushless speed controller. Rated at 200A constant current, the controller is usable with modified motors down to 3.0T but a blinky mode for zero timing spec racing makes it usable for non-boosted classes also. Several boost and turbo functions add to the extensive software features that include power delivery and brake strength settings. The unit also features the A.C.L.C. Advanced Component Level Cooling system, this design allows individual Mosfets to transfer heat directly to the upper heatsink. The power switch-less safety first system forces the user to disconnect the battery when its time to power off the controller, minimising the chances of leaving a live battery from draining. The controller is housed in a black anodised case with a specially designed heatsink and it is adjustable using a digital programming box.

Fiorano the stage for ENS title decider

The 2016 Euro Nitro Series comes to a conclusion this weekend (21-23rd Oct) with the famous Fiorano track in Italy as the stage for the 1:10 title decider.  With Team Shepherd’s Simon Kurzbuch wrapping up the 1:8 title at Round 3 in Aigen, Austria, last month, the attention for the season finale is on who will be crowned the new 1:10 champion.  With Electric World Championship commitments forcing him to miss the third round, reigning champion Jilles Groskamp can not retain his title but it is his Team Infinity team-mate Teemu Leino who goes into the season finale best placed to become champion.  In total 5 drivers have a mathematical chance of being crowned champion but it is current points leader Dirk Wischnewski who provides the biggest challenge to Leino.  Also a strong contender is inaugural ENS Champion Erik Dankel who sits second in the points and will be hoping to drop his 12th place Round 1 result. With outside title chances for World Champion Dominic Greiner and Bruno Coelho all of the contenders represent different manufacturers highlighting the competitiveness of the ENS championship.

Active Hobby introduce new TRF419 & TA07 Pro options

Japanese company Active Hobby have introduced several new option parts for the Tamiya TRF419 and TA07 Pro. Starting with the TRF419 parts, available soon are two sets of inner suspension pin weights that attach for the front and rear A-arm pins. Machined from heavy brass material and coming with a black and golden finish, the weights help to fine-tune the weight balance as they add weight to the lower part of the chassis but they do not hang over like FF or RR brass suspension brackets. They add about 3.5g of weight and they come in sets of two for the front or the rear of the chassis and they are also usable with the TA07 Pro.
