RC Maker Awesomatix diff wrench & Ti turnbuckle set

Coming from RC Maker are a diff wrench and a titanium turnbuckle set for the Awesomatix A800 and A800X. Starting with the tools, the wrenches make assembling and disassembling the diff easier than ever. The kit includes two individual wrenches to hold each side, allowing to get ample leverage to ensure the diff is tight, while protecting the hands. Made from quality 3mm precision machined carbon fibre, they are durable, light and effective and they boast an additional feature – there is a 4mm hole at the end of the small spanner for installing the P16 Lock rings for the wheel hex on the car.

Martinez & Alonso win at Baracaldo regional race

The Spanish Baracaldo track recently held round three of the electric on-road regional series. In the Touring Stock class young Yeray Martinez, who started from the 3 spot on the grid, would take the day’s win after coming out fastest in A1 and A3. Edgar Schultz would grab the runner-up spot from 3rd placed Unai Rodriguez. In the Touring Modified category it was Javier Alonso who brought home the hardware from teammate Jorge Las Vegas while Chicha Rioja had to settle for 3rd overall.

Florian Fürstenberg wins at LRP-HPI-Challenge Rd4

Round four of the North division LRP-HPI-Challenge was held at the RC-Glashaus track in Quickborn in the outskirts of Hamburg. In the Touring Stock class Florian Fürstenberg would have a rough qualifying but in the end he would grab the pole position for the A-mains that he would sweep to take the overall win with Lukas Ellerbrock and Kevin Sparbier coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively to round out the top 3 result.

VBC Racing FF17 belt drive conversion kit

Coming from VBC Racing and made for the FF17 FWD touring car is a belt drive conversion kit. The set does away with the standard gear drivetrain in favour of a belt-driven unit that is meant to provide a more linear throttle response and higher top speed, making it ideal for larger asphalt tracks. The set includes all needed parts including a new diff assembly, metal pulley, belt and small parts.

Yokomo Racing Performer M3/D1 optional rotors

Yokomo have unveiled new optional Racing Performer series rotors for the M3 and D1 electric brushless motors. Available are both 7.25mm RPM and 5.0mm higher torque variants of different diameters to further fine-tune the motor characteristics. Moreover the D1-specific rotors use a different magnet material to extract even more RPM from the motor. All rotors come with marked shafts for easy recognition.

Team Powers 7.6V 8300mAh 110C LIHV battery pack

Team Powers are busy adding new high-performance LiPo batteries to their line-up with the 7.6V 2S 8300mAh Graphene LiHV pack being the latest offering. Built from 110C cells the high-voltage and high-capacity Lithium-Polymer battery is designed for power-hungry classes such as Touring Modified, Touring Stock and also 1/8th scale racing. The standard-size pack is 24.8mm tall, it weighs in at 330g and utilises 5mm connector tubes.

Xpress tease Execute XQ1 touring car

Xpress have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming all-new 1/10th 4WD electric touring car kit. An iconic brand back in the 1990’s and 2000’s, Xpress have recently made the step back into the market with a range of M-sized cars and are now on the verge of presenting their first competition kit in years. The teaser gives a first taste of what to expect with the company seemingly having taken a somewhat different design approach on details such as the bulkheads, anti-roll bar and suspension mounts. As all parts look pretty much production ready so we expect the kit to hit the market shortly.

Speed King Tour Rd2 – Report

The second round of 2017 Speed King Tour was held at the TM Circuit outdoor tarmac track in the Wakayama prefecture. Due to the track layout only the Touring Car Modified and Stock classes were held and the Oval class dropped for this round. Yokomo young gun Yugo Nakashima took the TQ in the Modified class from Infinity’s Akio Sobue in second.
