Schumacher Eclipse alloy chassis & screws

Coming from Schumacher and made for the Eclipse 1/12th pan car are a new aluminium main chassis and lightweight alloy wheel screws. Starting with the chassis, the main plate offers improved driveability in all conditions of carpet 1/12th scale racing and much improved eight minute runs as a result of the improved consistency. This often leads to faster individual lap times as it inspires confidence. Due to the aggressive styling, a weight of 79g means it is only 11g heavier than the standard carbon chassis, whilst offering aluminium’s alternative flex characteristics.

Ginting & Kasengkang win at 2017 Xcampus Challenge

The annual Xcampus Challenge recently took place at the Giant Arena Circuit located in Banjarmasin City, South Borneo, Indonesia. 60 entries for the Touring Modified and Super Stock classes made for competitive racing. In the Touring Modified category it was Bowie Ginting who took the TQ ahead of Christian Mamesah and Suwardi Suliandy after three rounds of qualifying, while in the Super Stock class, Ronald Kasengkang secured the pole ahead Peter Anthonijsz and Donnie Pangemanan.

Protoform VTA wheels – Teaser image

Following the release of their all-new VTA tyres, Protoform will soon also step into the wheels game with the release of what appear to be suitable VTA rims. No information are given yet but it is understood that the wheels will become available in two colour to start. We bring you more information as soon as they surface.

Huonder & Bühler win at McBest Series Rd8

Round 8 of the Swiss McBest Series was held recently and in the premier 1/8th Nitro On-road class it was Iso Huonder with the win in the main final from Martin Wenger 2nd and Stefan Graber 3rd. Cosimo Sandro Horber and Stefan Kohler would complete the top 5 result.

BRCA Touring Car Series Rd4 – Report

A full entry of 110 drivers headed to the fast Halifax track in the north of the UK for round 4 of the BRCA Touring Car Series. Prior to the meeting there were concerns over the Sorex control tyre so the BRCA allowed an extra set of tyres for the Modified drivers. Despite the 2017 title already being decided in favour of Xray’s Olly Jefferies, the class was still very keenly contested. At round 4 Jefferies once again took TQ ahead of Team Associated’s Chris Granger and the Schumacher of Elliott Harper, and Jefferies also went on to take both legs of the Modified A-final ahead of Harper and Zak Smith (Team Associated). In winning the meeting Jefferies maintains his 100 percent unbeaten record in the UK this year.

3DRC have expanded their popular range of Fan Booster motor cooling fan mounts by three all-new variants for the Xray X1 and Team Associated F6 formula pan cars. Purpose designed and 3-D-printed from very tough material the fan mounts are available in two standard variants, for 30mm or 40mm units, and also as 30mm variant with incorporated diffusor for improved looks and aerodynamics. The fan mounts attach between the motor bulkheads and rear carbon fibre wing mount plate, they are usable for Formula and also LMP-converted cars and they are available through 3DRC’s Shapeways store or select model shops.

Hungarian IC Track Nationals Rd5 – Report

Round 5 of the Hungarian Nitro On-road National Championship was held at the MORAC Stöhr-Ring in very hot weather conditions. Open for guest drivers, the event attracted nearly 40 entries from four different countries and in the premier 1/8th on-road class it was Tomas Liptak with the win from Branislav Panak in 2nd and Martin Zvara 3rd.

Rheinard, Hofer & Stocker take German EP On-road titles

The MBC Bamberg club played host to this year’s German Electric On-road Nationals this past weekend. In the premier Touring Modified class it was Infinity’s Marc Rheinard who took the TQ and also the wins in the opening two A-mains to add another national title to his belt. Behind him, Awesomatix’s Freddy Südhoff and Yokomo’s Ronald Völker would battle for the runner-up spot with the better end for Freddy, who already optioned the 2 spot after the qualifiers. Ronald would come in 3rd while Yokomo teammate Christopher Krapp had to settle for 4th overall.
