Italian company Mon-Tech Racing has announced the signing of Alessio Menicucci to their team. The multiple Italian national champion and ETS finalist will deck out his Xray rides with Mon-Tech bodyshells from now on, joining swift team mates such as Portugal’s Bruno Coelho.

Tamiya have introduced two new TT-02 based kits in the form of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and the TT-02R race kit. Starting with the Merc, the AMG GT3 comes on the proven TT-02 entry-level 4WD chassis and it includes a replica body shell that mimics Mercedes’ successful GT race car. The kit will hit stores about mid-December and it includes a comprehensive decal sheet and grippy slick tyres on multi-spoke rims.
This past weekend the Team C GT 5 hours endurance race was held at the TRC race track in Hong Kong. A total of 14 teams battled for the victory with each team consisting of four members. The rules were pretty open with free chassis and body choice but SP control tyres had to be used. The race started at 11 a.m. on Sunday and after 300 intense minutes it was Team 46 (Serpent) that walked away with the win from Team C (Team C) with Team HEC (Mugen) rounding out the podium result.

The Grand Prix of Marseille was held this past weekend and in the 1/8th Nitro On-road class it was Anthony Abisset (Serpent) who took the TQ from Adrien Bertin (HB Racing) and Christophe Louis in second and third respectively. At the end of the 30-minute main final Anthony retained his position with Adrien ending the race some three seconds down. Two laps behind Mathias Kalaris (Capricorn) completed the podium result in third.

The opening round of the Belgium Modelifun Championship was held in Meux, Belgium. The Touring Car class was won by Jerome Defrenne from Michel Smets in second and Pascal Delferiere in third. Cedric Colen and Cornard Olivier completed the top 5 result in fourth and fifth respectively.

Xray have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming 1/8th nitro GT kit. The GT or Rally Game class, as it is called in their south European birth countries, attracts more and more companies to convert their nitro buggies into tarmac-eating on-road machines with Xray being the latest to hit the stage. We bring you more information on the project as they surface.
Yeah Racing have introduced the Big Angle Steering kit for the HPI Racing Sprint 2 touring car. Machined from high-quality aluminium and coming orange anodised, the steering bellcranks allow for huge steering throw as it is needed with RWD drift cars. Also included in the set are miscellaneous parts such as bolts, shims, links and ball cups.

Coming from T-Works and made for Serpent’s 748 line of vehicles including the WC, TQ and E are several turnbuckle and screw sets. Starting with the turnbuckles, available now are a hybrid aluminium and titanium turnbuckle kit that is made up using titanium links and aluminium hex segments. The parts offer a lower weight compared to the standard spring steel links and they also add visual impact thanks to their orange anodised alloy hexes. Also new are a set of 64-grade all-titanium links, a 137-piece set of 64-grade UFO head titanium screws for the WC edition kit and also a 145-piece set of gold-plated steel screws, again for the WC kit.
