Axial SMT10 Grave Digger Monster Jam RTR truck

Axial SMT10 Grave Digger Monster Jam RTR truck

Axial have introduced their all new SMT10 Grave Digger Monster Jam 1/10th scale 4WD ready-to-run straight-axle truck. Resembling the iconic Grave Digger full-scale truck, the 1/10th kit was developed for maximum strength and an extremely detailed appearance. The chassis offers many pivot points for suspension tuning while realism and strength are achieved through triangulation of the chassis tubes, making it ready for maximum attack and hardcore Monster Truck bashing. Part of the package are also the AR60 OCP-Axles that are constructed from high strength composite material which has a low flex rate but is not as brittle as standard glass filled nylon. The combination of these axles and a true 4-link suspension gives optimal performance for any terrain with the look of a real full-scale vehicle.

Yeah Racing 90mm Desert Lizard crawler shocks

Yeah Racing 90mm Desert Lizard crawler shocks

Yeah Racing have introduced the Desert Lizard 90mm dual stage internal spring shock absorbers for 1/10th scale crawlers. Utilising aluminium bodies the shocks also feature triple seal cartridges and dual stage internal springs that allow to build either a droop or sprung setup. The latter will create a rig which will generate a lot of flex and more suspension travel while with the droop setup, the rig will sit lower and because of a spring under the piston, will be less prone to rolling over but will generate less flex. The shocks come in sets of two, including different springs and damper pistons and in a range of colours including red, orange, green, gun metal and black.

BRCA Truggy & E-Buggy Nationals Rd4 – Report

BRCA Truggy & E-Buggy Nationals Rd4 – Report

The fourth round of the BRCA Truggy and E-Buggy Series took place at a new venue for the BRCA calendar, at Pembrey Race Circuit in South Wales. The model car track is on the site of the full size racetrack and despite being a relatively new venue, offered plenty of challenges for the drivers, who in the most part really enjoyed the track and its layout. The track itself features some very hard packed sections, some loose sections and has astro turf laid over the jumps to help keep them together, but it was the morning rain that was more of a concern. The weather was doing its best to put a downer on things but the drivers remained in high spirits and were enjoying the track nonetheless.

X Factory Infinity carbon idler gear shafts

X Factory Infinity carbon idler gear shafts

Coming from X Factory’s Infinity range of option parts are carbon idler gear shafts. They solve the problem of early transmission failures in modern 2WD buggies that are the result of the idler gear wobbling on the gear shaft as the latter is a tad too small in diameter to allow for easier assembly. X Factory’s carbon idler gear shafts are exactly 5mm in diameter, making for a press fit of the bearing on the shaft, resulting in an ultra-precise gear location and longer gear life. The shaft is available in a TLR 22-series and a Team Associated B6/5-series variant as a single item and without the gear and bearings you can see above.

Schelle B6-series carbon fibre battery strap

Schelle B6-series carbon fibre battery strap

Schelle Racing Innovations have introduced their new carbon fibre battery strap for the Team Associated B6 and B6D buggies. The brace is of a rigid, secure, and minimalist design with the strap holds down the perimeter of the LiPo pack while allowing clearance for the plugs and also of the positive and negative terminal markings on the case. The pack is held in place by 3D-printed 7mm hex battery stops which are easy to install with a 7mm wheel wrench. Stainless steel screws are included, but racers can upgrade to aluminium or titanium to shave weight. Lastly the construction allows to pivot the hex posts and run the battery pack in-line for a more quick handling setup.
