We received a report from the 2nd round of the 2008 Danish Off-Road DRCMU championship that was run last weekend on the outdoor carpet track in Tinglev. In the Stock class it was again Jesper Rasmussen that was in the fast lane with his Kyosho, followed up by Martin Kristensen driving a JConcept BJ4 in 2nd, and the young Tamiya driver Sebastian Sorensen in 3rd spot after 3 rounds of qualifying. The 1st round of the 2008 Danish Off-Road DRCMU championship was run last weekend by the Odense RC Minirace Club, who have put new carpet on the track providing lots of grip, while a new double jump was build for this event. The 7th and last round of the Danish DRCMU 1/10 Off-Road championship, was held recently at the Odense RC Minirace multi surface track which is a tight and technical track. This last race is very important because it gives double points, and so a victory which normally gives 40 points counts for 80 points and because of this the event was very well attended and positions were hard fought. The 6th round of the Danish 1/10th scale electric buggy Nationals took place last weekend at the multi surfaced Tinglev track. Lars Alex won the 2WD class after a close battle with Christer Rasmussen who ended up in 2nd and Rene Jespersen who put himself into 3rd spot after a great performance in the 2nd and 3rd final. Lars Alex is the current championship leader with 159 points followed by Christer Rasmussen in 2nd with 156 points and Bo Dissing lies in 3rd with 149 points. The 5th round of the Danish 1/10th scale electric buggy Nationals took place this weekend at the multi surfaced Midtjysk RC Arena. In the 4WD class it was Kyosho driver Ulrich Rasmussen who was the fastest man from the start of the day, setting the fastest time in qualifying and then going on to win all the three A-finals to take the overall win, followed home by local Kyosho racer Torben Nielsen in 2nd and Losi driver Allan Thyme in 3rd spot. The Aviators RC Club, in the north of Denmark, played hosted the 4th round of the Danish DRCMU Off-Road Championships, which were held last weekend. The grass surfaced track layout was very tight and narrow and most of the practice took place in very wet conditions and this lack of practice had a great influence on the performance of many of the drivers in the dry qualifying rounds.
