New Ielasi Tuned on-road & truggy engines

New Ielasi Tuned on-road & truggy engines

Ielasi Tuned have two new Novarossi-based nitro engines available for 1/8th on-road and truggy applications. Starting with the .21-9CL WC Edition, the 9-port long stroke on-road engine was used by Daniele Ielasi at the 2015 IFMAR World Championships in Brazil and it features a ceramic main bearing and a redesigned cooling head. The special edition engine was modified by hand to ensure the highest possible performance. The second new engine is the .25-7CL long stroke 7-port truggy engine. The power mill offers a displacement of 4.04cc and like the on-road engine it is hand-tuned by Daniele himself to extract as much performance as possible. Both engines are on show at this week’s Nuremberg International Toy Fair and they will become available shorty after.

JConcepts 1984 Ford F-150 trail & scaler bodyshell

JConcepts 1984 Ford F-150 trail & scaler bodyshell

Made for 1.9″ trail and scale vehicles such as the ones from Vaterra and Axial is JConcepts’ 1984 Ford F-150 bodyshell. The seventh generation of the Ford F-Series is distinguished by its squarer look, sharper lines and flatter panels, the trucks were designed with the working man in mind. The “Blue Oval”, a trademark of all Ford pickups, makes a striking appearance centred in the grille. Stout fender flares are carved ever so carefully into the panels while openings allow for a vast assortment of tires on the market. The F-150 single-cab look is strong and is a careful reminder of a time when passengers sat side-by-side during a typical outing. The bed itself is solid and includes slated details to look like its full-scale counterpart. Light body lines and raised sections are present throughout such as fuel tank caps, window weather strip outlines and hood indentations. The hard body-line positioned front to back give the truck heart and the “Built Ford Tough” personality. The body comes clear and includes authentic decal sheet and easy to use window mask for the detailed hobbyist. The F-150 drops on the Ascender and Axial 12.50″ wheelbase setting, with standard body mounts.

Dirt Racing Products shock tower hole plugs

Dirt Racing Products shock tower hole plugs

The Dirt Racing Products shock tower hole plugs are made to fill unused holes on shock towers to stop collecting dirt. Each package features ten pieces of the nifty plugs which are black in colour and blend in with surrounding items. To use, slide the plug into the hole starting from the smaller diameter end. Pull until the end is flush with shock tower surface and carefully using a hobby knife, cut off the plug flush on the other side. Each plug fills approximately two to three holes so a package of ten can easily outfit several vehicles in a racers’ arsenal.
