Ardent Winter series Rd3 report

Round three of the Kick Energy Drink sponsored Ardent Winter series took place at the weekend at the popular indoor Ardent venue in Derbyshire. Leading the series going in to round three was a very on form Olly Jefferies, driving his Associated TC6. Keven Hébert wins 17.5 in Cleveland

The best drivers in the US converged upon Cleveland, Ohio over Thanksgiving weekend to compete at the 2010 U.S. Indoor Championships. Reedy factory driver Keven Hébert has been on a hot streak lately and was looking to maintain his winning form. Driving a Reedy/LRP-powered TC6, Keven was able to capture the top qualifying position in the 17.5 Expert class with a strong performance on the high-speed carpet circuit. Keven Hébert wins Halloween Classic

The Halloween Classic has become one of the premier touring car races of the year and signals the beginning of the indoor racing season. With factory drivers such as Paul Lemieux, Keven Hébert, Josh Cyrul, Drew Ellis, and Mike Blackstock competing for the victory in Open Touring Car, the fight was bound to be intense. Moore & Hart win BRCA TC final round

Andy Moore put a disappointing domestic season behind him to take the final round of this season’s BRCA national touring car championship ahead of Olly Jefferies and Chris Grainger. Going in to the final round Chris Grainger was already crowned champion but second place was looking close between Olly Jefferies for Associated and Tamiya star Elliott Harper, Olly got off to the best start taking TQ and a new West London track record with his TC6, Elliott would line up behind Olly for the three leg finals with Andy Moore waiting to pounce in third. Team Associated TC6 touring car

TC6 takes the same suspension components from the TC5R before it and adds many new features, making it even better. For improved weight distribution, the TC6 motor mount has been moved 13mm closer to the chassis center line and the spur gear has been lowered 5mm compared to the TC5. These changes result in a more centralized mass and lower center of gravity for the TC6 chassis. The servo mounting holes are slotted to not only accommodate different servos but also to optimize the position of the servo mass. Jefferies & Bowden win BRCA TC Rd4

Team Associated are celebrating the first major victory for their new TC6 touring car after team driver Olly Jefferies took TQ and a win at round four of the BRCA national series at the fast Halifax track. In the super touring class it was Elliott Harper that set the early pace with his Tamiya but it was Olly Jefferies that came through to take TQ ahead of Chris Grainger’s Schumacher Mi4 with Elliott lining up third. Grainger & Bowden win BRCA TC Rd3

The BRCA national touring car championship moved to Aldershot for round three of the series. A full entry of 140 drivers crammed into the rather tight confines of the Hampshire track to see Chris Grainger win the super touring class with his Schumacher MI4 and Johnny Bowden take pro stock honours for Hot Bodies. Exclusive – Associated TC6

With the 1/12th Worlds now over, focus has now switched to touring car and on today’s preperation day we sat down with Team Associated who gave us the scoop on their new TC6 chassis, that is making its international debut at this race. Retaining the same lower front and rear wishbones, C-hubs and rear uprights from the TC5, the rest of the car is different.
