Jitse Miedema takes 2016 Dutch F1 Masters

This weekend the Heemstede track played host to the International Dutch F1 Masters. Friday started with free practice without heats and at the end of the day there were 2 rounds of free practice heats which saw Jitse Miedema with the best pace followed by his brother Tjitte Miedema and Milan Holthuis. Saturday was a nice day with the sun shining and all drivers having fun. Following 2 rounds of controlled practice it was last year’s winner Jitse who had a really good pace with the fastest time in the controlled practice followed by Roy Bakker and Sidney Blokker. Qualification was up next and it was again Jitse on position 1 followed by Milan Holthuis and Stephan Beelen. On Sunday the beginning of the day was a little bit wet what offered up some surprises but in the first final it was business as usual for Jitse who took the win followed by Milan and Sidney. In A2 there was a crash in the first lap but for the rest of the final the guys shows a good pace and clean racing. It was Jitse who would bring home the win and take the overall win for the IDFM 2016 followed by Milan and Tjitte. In the 3rd final it was again Jitse followed by Milan and Niels.

Mibosport Cup 2015/16 – Season review

The 2015/16 Mibosport Cup held its season finishing final round last weekend with the series attracting a total of 487 drivers of which 245 attended in the off-road classes while the on-road categories drew a total of 242 entries. This season drivers from 9 countries including Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Great Britain, Estonia, Finland, Switzerland and the Czech Republic made their way to the Hotel-Sport in Hrotovice.

Shepherd Velox F1 1/10th formula car kit

Following a first teaser some time ago German company Shepherd now have officially introduced their all-new 1/10th Velox F1 formula car kit. After a long and intensive development phase and already successful in pre-production prototype stages, the kit was developed from scratch in close cooperation with some experienced formula drivers. Sporting a clean and symmetrical design the chassis features a single centre post for fixing the centre shock and the body mount plate which results in a lot of space for the electronics. A Shepherd VRS absorber with a floating piston instead of a membrane and two high quality aluminium tube dampers take care of the damping duties to keep the wheels on the ground and to guarantee maximum traction under all track conditions.

FT Line 1/8th & 1/10th on-road clutches

FT have introduced their new 1/8th and 1/10th on-road clutches. After a long development and refinement period, FT Line is now officially releasing the new line of clutches that feature a new disc, new shoe materials and a new machined lightweight flywheel. The 1/8th clutch is available for several cars such as ARC, Capricorn, Shepherd, Serpent, Mugen and HB with the 1/10th clutch becoming available for Xray and Capricorn cars. Both include a Nickel-plated clutch bell.

Green & Beal win at BRCA 1/10th Nitro on-road nats

The opening round of the BRCA 1/10t Nitro On-road Nationals was held at the fast and technical Wombwell Raceway in cold but dry weather conditions. Mark Green (Serpent/XRD) would take the TQ position in the premier 1/10th 200mm class while Glyn Beal (Serpent) came out fastest in the 1/10th 235mm GT and the 1/8th GT categories. The main final of the 200mm class then had Mark Green defending his top position to take the day’s win from Joe Kerry (Capricorn/O.S.) and Alex Thurston (Serpent/Max).

Nicolai Lindegaard wins Danish Touring Car Nationals

The final round of the Danish Touring Car Nationals was held in Tinglev near the German border. The race attracted a record breaking 80+ entries including reigning DHI Cup Champion Tim Benson from Germany. The overall championship was still up for grabs with both Nicolai Lindegaard and Steven M. Olsen could secure the title with a win. Controlled practice saw Nicolai and Steven settle for second and third as they were beaten by Frederik Mikkelsen by 0.1 tenth of a second and it looked to be a weekend of close racing.

Jannick Namyslo crowned Winter Cup Champion

Jannick Namyslo crowned Winter Cup Champion

The 4-race Winter Cup Series was held at the Hobby-Theke Raceway of the MCRT-Aschaffenburg club in Germany in several electric on-road classes including Touring Car, 1/12th pan car, Formula and M-Chassis. In 1/12th pan car reigning champion Jannick Namyslo again came out successful at the end of the season with a maximum points score, taking the overall title in front of Hartmut Rose and Sebastian Fenske, making it an all-Xray podium.
