Sören Boy Holst wins at Danish Touring Car Nats Rd3

Round 3 of the Danish Touring Car Championships was held at the challenging track in Vejle. The track offers a huge main straight with a banked corner at the end and a technical and challenging infield. After the practice in the SuperStock class it became clear that the race for the win would be on between at least four drivers. The opening qualifier saw a close battle between Frederik Broloes and Soeren Boy Holst with the latter taking the TQ by 0.03 seconds despite a spin in lap 7. The second round was just as close and this time Steven Olsen joined the fun but he made a mistake in lap 8 and also Soeren decided to visit the grass and he opted to end the qualifiers in order to save the tyres for the final round. The round was then won by Frederik. The third qualifier then saw a 3-way battle for the TQ and at the end it was Soeren who grabbed the pole position for the A-mains from Frederik and Steven.

GForce 64 pitch hard-coated aluminium pinion gears

GForce have introduced a range of 64 pitch aluminium pinion gears. Coming as 25T to 50T variant the gears come precision-cut from high-quality aluminium and they are hard-anodised for wear. The first batch will include 25T to 40T pinions while the larger 41T to 50T gears will be available shortly.

Xray NT1 Work.Shop Italy

Xray will hold a dedicated Work.Shop for NT1 owners from the 11th to 12th of August at the Gimar Speed Park in Reggio Calabria. The workshop will focus on Xray’s 1/10th scale nitro on-road car and it is held by Xray’s own Martin Hudy who will be track side to help drivers making their car setups perfect. BMT 984 medium & hard shock spring sets

BMT have new shock spring sets for the 984 1/8th scale on-road car available. Coming colour-coded the grey medium and white hard sets include four springs each to help fine-tune the suspension action in different track conditions.

Awesomatix RFG rear floating gearbox set

Coming from the mind of Awesomatix’ Josh Cyrul is the RFG rear floating gearbox set for the A700 touring car. Designed for the use with the MM2 motor mount in flex mode 4 the system further reduces the unwanted torque steer effect caused by the longitudinal motor position as it does the FFG system up front. The set can be run with the C24 top deck and even without, in case more flex is needed.

Shepherd Velox V8 EC Black Edition kit

Following the introduction of the Velox V10 Pro Black Edition Shepherd have announced the Velox V8 EC Black Edition. Like the V10 Black Edition the 1/8th scale kit is equipped with black anodised aluminium parts instead of the regular Shepherd blue parts, giving the successful platform a new and stylish look. The black aluminium parts will be also available as a conversion kit or as single pieces.

Serpent 977 Evo radio plate support post

New from Serpent and made for the 977 Evo 1/8th scale kit is a radio plate support post. The 7075-T6 aluminium part will stiffen the front end of the car which can be a helpful tuning aid on very high-bite surfaces. The part is a direct fit on the Evo and must be used in combination with the central flex system to make it work.

Exotek Exo22 replacement bottom plates

Coming for Exotek’s recently introduced Exo22 chassis conversion kits are two replacement bottom plates. Made from either dark anodised 3mm 7075 aluminium or 2.5mm carbon fibre the plates not only are a direct replacement but they also act as a tuning aid as both are interchangeable and offer different characteristics. Using the carbon plate in a former aluminium car makes the buggy lighter and more responsive while the alloy chassis maximises stability and traction beside offering a lower centre of gravity.
