IRCC 2015 Airport race – Announcement

The annual IRCC Airport race in Japan will this year take place from the 12th to 14th of June. The race is unique in that it will be held at the Chubu international airport, in an event hall near the arrivals section. With the airport having a hotel and restaurants, you won’t need to do much travelling and can in fact access the track by foot. The race will see the running of several on-road classes including Stock TC, FWD, Modified 1/12th scale, World GT and more with racer from the USA, Korea, Macao and other countries being awaited. Samix BD7-2015 carbon fibre chassis kit

Samix have a new carbon fibre main chassis for the Yokomo BD7-2015 available. Made from soft matte finish carbon fibre material the chassis is only 82mm wide for improved ground clearance during heavy cornering. The soft weave makes for more torsional flex which can help increase overall grip and traction in certain track conditions. Also included is an aluminium fan mount for 30mm units that also incorporates a routing channel for the connection wire.

Mark Green takes British Formula Championship

Mark Green takes British Formula Championship

Mark Green has come out successful in his recent 1/10th electric on-road campaign by winning the British 1/10th Formula championship title. On his way to the overall win he scored maximum points in first three of the four rounds to take the title with a 2 point margin on Mark Burgess. David Underwood completed the top 3 result of the 2015 series.

Spec-R T4-15 floating steering conversion kit

Coming from Spec-R and made for the Xray T4-15 touring car is a floating steering conversion kit. Making use of a redesigned upper servo mount plate and new orange anodised aluminium steering posts the set removes the kit’s steering assembly from the main chassis in favour of a “floating” design. The result is a more freely flexing chassis and less influence of the chassis’ flex on the steering angle during cornering. The conversion bolts right onto the standard inner servo mount and it is available now.

RC Car World's Spring Challenge Points Series – Report

Last weekend saw the conclusion of RC Car World’s Spring Challenge Points series at RC Car World in Willingboro, NJ. Qualifying started of strong with new Xray driver Oladelé Bolden qualifying 2nd to Schumacher driver Aja Archibald and Thomas Lane qualifying 3rd driving a Yokomo. As usual the track conditions varied as the racing continued throughout the day and Thomas Lane was able to set TQ and pole position heading into the final A main of the series.

Mikael Fransson wins at Swedish Cup Rd1

The first round of the Swedish On-road Cup was hosted by the Wäxjö MS club. In the 1/8th Nitro class it was Serpent’s Mikael Fransson who came out successful in the 45 minute final after also taking the TQ position. Marcus Lindner (Shepherd) came in 2nd, four laps down on Mikael while Lars Haugen (Mugen) finished another six laps down in 3rd.

Jakub Franek wins at Polish IC track season opener

The first round of the Polish Nitro On-road season was held at the Nowy Sacz track. Unfortunately the qualification was highly affected by rain and in the 1/10th class it was Przemyslaw Wicher who made the best out of the conditions by taking the TQ from Alexander Ockajak and Grzegorz Nożka. Elsewhere in the 1/8th class the TQ was taken by Marcin Marczyk in front of Janusz Marek and Tomas Hrkel.

Team Titan Blitz LSF 190mm touring car bodyshell

Team Titan Blitz introduce their latest 1/10th 190mm touring car bodyshell, the LSF. By using the successful GSF as a base and making subtle changes the body offers improved steering response without sacrificing stability. The LSF is best suited for asphalt tracks of many different traction levels. The EFRA-approved body meets IFMAR’s GBS body rules and it is available in a standard 0.8mm high-quality polycarbonate as well as lightweight 0.7mm and 0.5mm versions including window masks, wing mounting hardware and a sticker sheet.
