New Capricorn option parts for nitro & electric kits

Italian company Capricorn have new option parts available for their 1/10th scale nitro and electric kits. First up is a new body support kit for the Lab C03 1/10th scale nitro tourer. The set allows to adjust the body height in 0.25mm increments to fine-tune the aerodynamics while retaining a large contact surface for improved aerodynamic efficiency thanks to the pivoting composite platforms.

New from Novarossi comes the 2015 Elite range of TOP engines for off-road and on-road applications. Starting with the top-of-the-foodchain Elite 8 Off Road, the engine is of a long stroke design and features an 8-port sleeve. Coming with a turbo glowplug combustion camber insert and 14mm turbo crankshaft the engine is available with standard steel or high-quality ceramic ball bearings.

T-Works M4 large diameter wheel nuts

New from T-Works come large diameter M4 wheel nuts for most 1/10th scale applications. Machined from 7075 aluminium the nuts offer a 11.5mm diameter flange with serrated surface which greatly reduces the chance of a nut coming loose during use while the larger diameter also better supports the wheel at the same time. The nuts fit all popular touring car and buggy wheels and they come in red, orange or blue anodising.

Mike Swauger renews with Xray

Xray has announced the contract renewal with World and multiple US National Champion Mike Swauger. Mike is a dedicated nitro on-road racer and he will be using Xray’s 1/10th and 1/8th nitro kits at all major races in 2015 such as the World Championships, the Florida Winter Nationals and the ROAR Nationals. Mike says:

I would like to thank Ralph Burch and everyone at RC America and Xray for the past years of racing. I’m excited to have signed with team again for the 2015 season and looking forward to having a great year of racing with the Xray team. I will travel to all major USA nitro races and I will be more than happy to assist anyone with any questions or comments.

Schumacher introduce new Core RC servos

Schumacher introduces a range of new Core RC servos for 1/8th and 1/10th scale applications. First up is the 1012TG (0.12s/10kg-cm), a standard size servo with heavy duty titanium gears for improved durability even in somewhat harsher conditions. The standard voltage servo is usable for 1/8th and 1/10th applications.

Stiles wins BRCA GT12 Nationals Rd2

Round 2 of the four-round BRCA 1/12 GT12 Nationals took place at the Broxtowe track in central UK. GT12 cars are simplified 1/12 scale pan cars which utilise basic suspension, 13.5 stock motors, and GT style bodies. The emphasis is on affordable, low-cost racing that is well suited to club, regional, and national competitions. Over the last two years GT12 has exploded in popularity in the UK as drivers have welcomed the simple and low-cost nature of racing the class at club level. At this event there was a capacity entry of 70 GT12 cars complimented by 20 World GT cars and 10 F1 cars.
