Colin Price re-signs with Schumacher

Schumacher announce that long term Schumacher driver and 2014 BRCA Modified Vice-Champion Colin Price has re-signed to the team. The quiet man of the Touring Car scene, but a true competitor who never gives an inch, Colin had his best year in 2014 taking second in the BRCA Nationals, just 1 point off the Champion Olly Jefferies and ahead of Chris Grainger and Elliott Harper and Andy Moore. Along with Colin comes his super fast brother Lee who last year also finished second in the BRCA Pro Stock Championship. Colin had this to say:

Firstly I’d like to thank everyone at Schumacher for the support over the past seasons and look forward to continued success and development over the next year with the Mi5evo and Supastox GT.

Naoto Matsukura and Yokomo part ways

Naoto

Multiple IFMAR 1/12th World Champion and current Electric Touring Car World Champion Naoto Matsukura today announced his shock departure from long term sponsor Yokomo. The protege of RC legend Masami Hirosaka has been under contract with the Japanese manufacturer for the last 10 years and it us understood that both parties parted ways amicably. When contacted the Japanese star gave no information about his future plans or his reason for leaving but it is strange timing with the Yatabe Arena in Japan, Yokomo’s own track, hosting the 1/10th EP offroad Worlds next October. More information as we get it.

CS Electronic CS-Rocket V4 speed controller

German company CS-Electronic introduce their latest 1/10th brushless speed controller, the CS-Rocket V4. The follow-up model of the controller that won the 2009 IFMAR 1/10th Buggy Worlds features a black anodised aluminium case, a 120A rating for a 3.0T motor limit, it is usable with 2S to 3S LiPo packs and comes with a 6V/3A BEC system. As for the software features the controller incorporates 10 Modified, Boosted and Blinky class profiles, and it is highly adjustable using an optional programming box or the included USB interface. The speedo is available in a standard or pre-wired version both of which include an add-on fan unit, power capacitor board, sensor wire, USB interface and PC software.

Elliott Harper signs with Schumacher

Schumacher announce that four-time IFMAR World Championship A-finalist and EFRA Euros podium finisher Elliott Harper has signed to represent Schumacher Racing on a multi-year deal. Elliott was one of the hottest properties in the driver market after announcing earlier in the year he would be leaving his previous sponsor. Schumacher would like to welcome Elliott to our Touring Car Team and wish him the best for the future. Elliott had this to say about the deal:

After deciding to leave my previous team, I took some time to carefully consider which company I wanted to represent and race for in the future. Schumacher became an obvious choice for me not only is their support and customer service second to none, but they have also achieved huge successes in all of their market leading projects. My aim is to continue these great results not only in the UK, but also across Europe and the rest of the world. I have seen the team work exceptionally well together, listen to driver feedback, continuously develop their cars and implement innovative ideas. My first touring car was in fact a Schumacher, so I feel very proud to fully represent the brand that started off my racing career. I cant wait for the coming seasons and races with Schumacher.

Serpent 748 SL6 XLI gearbox & new gear differentials

With the new Natrix 748 TQ Serpent also introduced the SL6 XLI lightweight 2-speed gearbox and redesigned front and rear gear differentials. The parts are standard on the 748 TQ and also available separately for 748 and 747 owners. The SL6 XLI eXtra Low Inertia gearbox is a direct replacement for the stock parts and they are designed to reduce the rotation mass for improved acceleration. Included come a new adapter, new shoes and a new bell and the gearbox is usable with the standard 2-speed gears.

Yeah Racing now have self-adhesive balance weights available for a range of applications. Coming as 2-strip packs with four 5g and four 10g weights each the weights help to quickly and easily adjust the weight balance of your vehicle. They also come in handy to increase the weight of crawler wheels for improved grip in certain conditions.

ProTek R/C TruTemp infrared thermometer

ProTek R/C’s TruTemp infrared thermometer will give an instant, accurate temperature reading of electric motors, nitro engines, battery pacsk or any other heat sensitive equipment. The large LCD screen is easily read day or night thanks to its bright backlight display. The thermometer features four modes of quick, can, maximum value and minimum value. It can also be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius scales with a range of -40°–716°F or -40°C–380°C. To conserve the device’s battery life an auto-off timer is preset from the factory for 1-minute.

New WRC F-One body & front wing set

Italian company WRC have a new body and front wing set available for their F-One formula car. The low nose front wing includes a separate plate that not only connects the win and chassis but it also prevents air from entering the body’s nose section. When using both the body and win in combination WRC promise an increased downforce of as much as 30 percent.
