AKA have a range of new pit accessories available such as a tyre balancer, tyre punch and mini pump bottle. Starting with the 2-in-1 handheld wheel balancer, the tool has been meticulously engineered to balance most 12mm hex and 17mm hex wheels, including 1:10 buggy, short course, 1:8 buggy and truggy. Serpent S120 LTR 1/12th kit – Coming soon

Serpent have announced the soon release of their S120 LTR 1/12th scale competition pan car kit. The latest incarnation of the S120 will feature a redesigned front end with improved adjustability, a new centre pivot system, an updated centre shock as well as improved overall flex dynamics. More information will become available in time for the release in mid-February.

Hot Race Winter Shootout – Report

The HotRace Winter Shootout took place in Chiari, Italy this past weekend in 1/10th Electric Touring Car and 1/12th pan car classes. The event attracted some of the best Italian drivers and illustrious foreign guests such as Alexander Hagberg, Marc Rheinard, Viktor Wilck, Kyle Branson, Marco Kaufmann, Thilo Thodmann and the newly crowned 4-time back-to-back ETS champion Ronald Völker. The Touring Car Modified class’ triple A-mains proved to be extremely intense, with the drivers offering a fantastic show on the tight and technical track. Ronald Völker, starting from the pole position, ultimately won the race from 2nd placed Alexander Hagberg and Kyle Branson who rounded out the podium.

Yeah Racing single & dual fan motor heatsink sets

Yeah Racing have several new aluminium motor heatsink sets available. Offering different designs with single and dual fan units the heatsinks also come in a range of colours to match your car’s colour theme. Available are single fan “low-profile” heatsinks with a vertically mounted fan as well as single and dual heatsinks with horizontally mounted fans. The low-profile sets come in anodised red or blue colour while the other sets are available in red, orange, gun metal, blue or black anodising.

Scorpion RS-3420 optional rotors

Scorpion have three new optional rotors for the RS-3420 line of electric brushless motors available. First up is the 12.0mm high speed rotor that is designed to improve the maximum RPM produced by the motor while being able to withstand extremely high temperatures. Also new is the 12.3mm all-purpose rotor that offers a good balance of RPM and torque for a linear throttle and brake feeling. Last but not least comes the 12.5mm high torque rotor for maximum power and increased brake and drag brake strength. All rotors are made from high-strength materials and they feature Scorpion’s patented screw-type rotor and cooling fan for lower running temperatures.

Alexander Hagberg renews with Xray

Xray have announced that long time team driver and 2014 IFMAR 200mm Gas On-road World Champion Alexander Hagberg has extended his contract for 2015. Alexander has been with Xray since “ever” and the team cooperation has been successful over the years with Alex being a great supporter and member of the development team. The Swede will attend the European 1/10th Electric and Nitro Touring Championships, the 1/12th Euros, the ETS and many other races beside the local Swedish Cup and Nationals in 2015 and he has the following to say:

I have been racing for Xray ever since the start of my international racing career. Over the years we have built a strong and successful relationship which has resulted in 2014 into my best achievements gaining the title of World and European Champion. The titles I have achieved last year have been a culmination of our long term hard and dedicated work and I am more than happy to announce that for 2015 I will continue with Xray team and will do my best to repeat the success also this racing season.

Russian Touring Masters 2015 – Announcement

The Russian Touring Masters 2015 will be held from the 27th to 29th of March in St. Petersburg, Russia’s second largest city. The event will see the running of four different classes including Modified, 10.5T Stock blinky, 17.5T Stock blinky and 13.5T Stock with Hobbywing combos, with Russia’s fastest drivers, such as Denis Zuykov and Kirill Trofimov plus special guests from abroad in attendance. The 2014 LRP Touring Car Masters champion, multiple ETS A-finalist and Awesomatix team driver Viljami Kutvonen is already confirmed for the race and more information can be found on the event’s official website by clicking here.
