X-Grip body hole reamer

European X-Grip distributor Mikimodel has announced the release of a new body hole reamer. The tool features a lightweight aluminium handle and a precision-ground steel reamer that allows to easily create up to 14mm diameter holes for body posts, antennas and more. The screw-on cap ensures the tool tip is protected during storage and transportation and the diamond-shaped surface helps to securely grip the tool during use.

Awesomatix A800X mid motor conversion set

Coming soon from Awesomatix is the limited edition mid motor conversion set for the A800X touring car. The kit will create a symmetrical 4WD drivetrain with equal length front and rear transmission belts that will ensure a more symmetrical drivetrain reaction during acceleration and braking. The conversion kit is usable exclusively on the A800X and it will become available soon in a very limited production run.

Traxxas Bigfoot 1/10th 2WD RTR monster truck

Coming on Traxxas’ ultra-popular 1/10th scale 2WD monster truck platform is the new “modern” Bigfoot ready-to-run truck. The high ground clearance chassis comes with several blue-toned accessories such as front and rear bumpers, and the name-giving, fully-licensed Bigfoot body shell sports red, white and blue colours. The factory-assembled truck used a durable 2WD drivetrain and it is powered by a 12T 550-size brushed motor whose power is controlled by the waterproof XL-5 speed controller. Part of the package is also a 2.4GHz radio system, a Traxxas iD-equipped 7-cell NiMH battery and a 4A DC peak-detecting fast charger. The truck itself is finished off with set of authentic “shaved” monster truck tyres on silver wheels.

Axial SCX10 II 1969 Chevrolet Blazer RTR

Axial’s latest incarnation of the popular SCX10 II trail truck is the 1969 Chevrolet Blazer RTR. The kit is decked out with a scale-looking Blazer body for a macho apperance while additional items like chrome-coated grille, mirrors and door handles are also included. Officially licensed Chassis Unlimited front and rear tube bumpers are mounted tight to the body for maximum clearance and a set of offroad lights – with LEDs – shine some light when the action goes dark. To keep the Blazer rolling along in even the toughest situations, Axial mounted it on their rugged SCX10 II chassis. High-clearance AR44 high-pinion axles, a chassis mounted servo, re-designed AX10 transmission case and tough steel suspension links are just a few of the parts that make the Blazer a beast on any terrain. Scale Dynamics silver drift car wheels

Scale Dynamics from Japan have released first images of their new aluminium silver drift car wheels. The 6-spoke rims are of special design that utilises standard drift car tyres but an additional black-painted ring will enlarge the sidewall height visually to make for a more old school look. An alloy silver surface treatment is giving the wheels a polished look and they will become available soon.

ETS returns to Apeldoorn for decisive Round 5

For the second time this season the Yokomo Euro Touring Series revisits one of the tracks from the past with Apeldoorn in the Netherlands the destination for drivers for Round 5 this weekend (22-24 June). Last on the ETS calendar in 2013, the track is a contrast to the previous round when the championship returned to the tight & technical Andernach track in Germany last month.  Having previously hosted the ETS four times, it is Marc Rheinard who comes into the penultimate round with the best record taking 3 wins there. The other winner is then Tamiya and now Infinity team-mate Jilles Groskamp who won on the first visit in 2009.  A track layout that is highly regarded by drivers, the weekend is an important one in terms of the championship as drivers look to force the championship to do down to the final round.
