Cragg doubles at Worksop Indoor Masters

Round 4 of the Schumacher sponsored 2013/14 Worksop Indoor Off Road Masters took place last weekend. Team Associated’s Neil Cragg was the driver to beat in both the 2WD and 4WD buggy class and at the end of the weekend he had both class wins under his belt. Joining him on the podium of the 4WD class where Team Durango’s Chris Doughty and Nathan Waters (Schumacher) while elsewhere in 2WD Craig Collinson (Team Durango) and Richard Lowe (X Factory) finished second and third respectively.

AKA Typo 1/10th truck tyre

AKA introduce the Typo 1/10th stadium truck tyre. Just like the buggy variant the truck Typo sports a very low tread pattern that has been optimised for hard-packed indoor tracks and low dust, grooved outdoor tracks. The tyre is now available in AKA’s Clay compound and while the standard Super Soft compound will hit the stores beginning of February. Included with each pair come AkA’s red inserts.

EOS win #9 for Neumann

EOS win #9 for Neumann

Despite facing by far his toughest opposition yet at a Euro Offroad Series race, Team Durango’s Joern Neumann remains unbeaten in 4WD Buggy after he secured win #9 at Round 2 of the series today in Berlin.  Taking a relatively easy win in A1, the German faced intense pressure second time round from Team Xray’s Martin Bayer but a last lap coming together allowed him to take the Leg and with it the overall win.

LRP ZZ.21C Ceramic Spec.2 engine

LRP have released details on their new ZZ.21C Ceramic Spec 2 buggy engine. This new version claims to have more power, a higher top speed, better fuel efficiency and linear power delivery compared to the previous version. To achieve this, changes have been made to the piston and conrod as well as to the liner with the needles in the carburetor also having been revised. Finally the cooling head fins have been inclined upward to create more surface area for better cooling.

Matsukura takes thrilling A3 for overall EOS victory

Naoto Matsukura has taken overall victory in 2WD Buggy at Round 2 of the Euro Offroad Series in Berlin, Germany.  Only his second appearance in the series, the Team Yokomo driver took the EOS victory after a last lap mistake in A3 by Round 1 winner Hupo Honigl, the Austrian looking to have been on target for a repeat of his Polish victory.  Taking the win by less than half a second over Honigl to back up his A1 victory, the Japanese ace was joined on the podium by defending Champion Joern Neumann, winner of A2, with Honigl completing the Top 3.

Neumann wins A2 of 2WD in Berlin

Joern Neumann has won the second leg of the 2WD Buggy A-Main at the Euro Offroad series setting the stage for a three way battle for the overall win in Berlin going into the third Main.  The Team Durango driver took the win ahead of Team C’s Hupo Honigl and Yokomo’s Naoto Matsukura, benefiting from a mistake by the latter on lap 3 that dropped the A1 winner from the lead to fifth.

Matsukura takes first A-Main at EOS

Naoto Matsukura took a tone to tone victory in the first A-Main at the Euro Offroad Series in Berlin but the Japanese ace almost threw it away in what was a clearly dominant performance. Top Qualfier for the 2WD Buggy encounter, the Team Yokomo driver had a commanding lead over the No.2 starting Durango of Joern Neumann but with three laps to go he made a mistake that required marshaling. However such was his lead over the three way battle for second place that even with the loss of 4-seconds he was able to hold on to take albeit a narrow 6/10ths of a second win over Neumann with Hupo Honigl third and Lee Martin fourth.

Koegler & Violeau join French Nemo Racing team

Koegler & Violeau join French Nemo Racing team

The French Nemo Racing team has expanded to include two new young drivers Felix Koegler (left) and Alexandre Violeau. Felix, who at only 14 years old has already shown a lot of dexterity in driving an rc car is situated in the East of France and will represent all the Nemo Racing brands in the league 6 area. Alexandre runs in league 17 and will join Damien Dénecheau in order to promote the brands. Following his great results last year he was very impressed with the Nemo Racing package and continues through 2014.
