Matrix Tires Universal Tyre Balancer

Italian tyre manufacturer Matrix has updated its Automatic Tyre Balancer to now be available only as a universal unit covering all your Onroad, Offroad and GT needs with the appropriate adapters.  Originally launched in two models last August, one for offroad and one for onroad, now both categories are covered by a universal unit.  The balancer is full automatic and using software indicates where the users needs to add balancing weigh to the wheel for the perfectly balanced tyre.  For 1:8 Onroad, Matrix also offers its own weights that screw directly into their own ‘Five’ rims.  The introduction of holes around the outer edge allows the insertion of tungsten headless screw with calibrated weight for perfect balancing.

Rivkin wins TNR Fuels A-Main Challenge

With the majority of America’s Pro Offroad team drivers in action at the TNR Fuels A-Main Challenge at Thunder Alley RC Raceway over the weekend, it was Spencer Rivkin who the big win.  In 1:8 Nitro Buggy Qualifying it was HB Racing’s Cole Ogden who claimed the TQ on a tie breaker with Rivkin, each counting a TQ and 2nd fastest run from the three qualifiers.  Tekno’s Ryan Maifield also managed a TQ run opening quaifying with the fastest time and together with a 3 from Q2, secured him 3rd on the grid for the 25-minute A-Main.  Ogden lead away the field but would drop to P3 allowing Rivkin to go to the front where he would stay til the finish.  While Ogden got back up to second he would lose the position back to Maifield in the closing laps.  Behind them Mayako’s Jared Tebo would finish 4th from 6th on the grid.  Rivkin would make it a double Buggy victory securing the eBuggy win from Top Qualifier Maifield with the podium again completed by Ogden.  In Truggy, Maifield took both the TQ and the win followed home by young gun Phi-Long Nguyen, Ryan Pavidis and Ryan Cavalieri.

JConcepts SCX6 Landmines & Tusk Tyre

JConcepts has created two  all-new 2.9” performance scale SCX6 tyres, the Landmines and Tusk.  The Landmines, developed over a year of testing, tuning and analysis have reached the summit and now available to the crawling enthusiast.  The design is based on a robust carcass carefully shaped and sized for a multitude of conditions and capable of completing those difficult courses while being down-to-earth enough to carry a scale appearance.  After successful class 2 tires, the team focused on a new design for the Tusk with learned information by driving, crawling, and important input from a heap of development time by the JConcepts team. The team retained the 7.13” sizing making it a scale-based tire, but the tread layout went under the scope for changes.

MIBO Aluminium Adjustable Servo Horn

MIBO has added these super rigid 25T aluminium adjustable servo horns, a logical addition to its growing product offering given their already extensive range of servos.  This reliable and universal servo horn is for everyone who wants to use their servo to the max and achieve quick and precise steering on any off-road, on-road, or drift machine.  Thanks to the clamp-lock for servo spline fitting and rigid design, this servo horn transfers the servo movement to the steering mechanism without any backlash or flex. In addition, thanks to the easy wide-range length adjustment, it allows for steering response tuning.  Whether you need to shorten the lever ratio in order to get a maximum servo travel and precise control, or lengthen it for maximum possible speed, you can do it in few seconds.  Just loosen the ball end, move it in the groove and tighten it back. Thanks to the embedded self-locking nut, you don’t need to worry about it ever going loose.
