Double win for King at JBRL Rd2

Double win for King at JBRL Rd2

Paul King reports from last weekend’s JBRL Nitro round 2 held at Palm Desert RC Raceway. ‘It was a hot hard fought win in the Buggy class, and a little easier cruise in the Truggy class for Cody. These were good wins for Cody as he maintains the points lead in both classes and retains the #1 number plates. Temps exceeding 100f made the effort just a little more difficult unless you pitted in a motor home with AC. Lots of water and wet towels were the order of the day.

Everyone at RB is delighted with Yuichi’s choice – having one of the true pioneers in RC ‘come home’ is truly something special, we’re proud that Yuichi chose RB after extensively testing all the engines in the market, he went for RB – the power behind his most successful years. In the last couple of weeks Yuichi tested both the BX & the BXR engines, saying ‘he loved them!’ and that it was both a personal choice to return to RB but also the engine that came out on top in his personal tests.

JQ Products THEeCar 1/8th EP buggy

JQ Products are close to releasing the car they said they would never make, THEeCar 1/8th electric off-road buggy. In shops for pre order the car is based on their Yellow Edition gas counterpart with some dedicated parts to cater for the cars electronics. There is an all new EP specific weight optimised main chassis which sees the 4S battery mounted to the front left of the car in front of the speedo, while on the right side the motor is mounted very far back in the car, in a new adjustable motor mount, along with the centre diff which because of this positioning drives a very short rear centre shaft and a very long front centre shaft. The servo and receiver are mounted at the front right of the car completing the electronics layout. We can expect full information on the car in the near future.
