Team Durango DEST210R stadium truck

Announced some time ago and available very soon is Team Durango’s DEST210R 2WD stadium truck. The truck that is based on the DEX210 buggy and features a newly designed longer moulded composite chassis, and the patent pending gear box that allows to run several configurations such as 3-gear and 4-gear layout in one gear box. Also included in the kit are highly adjustable suspension components that make use of interchangeable inserts to adjust caster and rear toe settings, big bore shock absorbers, captive pin CVD rear driveshafts, new 15mm front and rear disc rims as well as a unique stadium truck body shell.

JConcepts Mono wheels, wheel nuts & body clips

JConcepts introduce the B44.1 Mono wheels, 8/32″ thin-pattern locking wheels nuts and black medium-size body clips. Starting with the wheels, these are a direct fit on the Team Associated B44.1 buggy and match the design of the rear Mono wheels that are around for a while now. They offer the maximum size allowed under ROAR rules and make a statement with their large appearance, slight convex dish shaped design and superior inner rib design. The wheels incorporate an outer glue catch that resists excess glue from running down the wheel face during the gluing process. The wheel comes in sets of four and is available in yellow and white colour.

Steven Hartson wins 2012 JBRL Rd5

Team Associated’s Steven Hartson has swept the competition at the fifth round of the 2012 JBRL at the Controlled Chaos Raceway in Palmdale, CA. The race format saw two rounds of qualifying with rocket round and a single main event all run on Saturday. Steven attended the 2WD Mod Buggy and Mod Truck class and was able to comfortably grab TQ in both classes. In the buggy A-main he pulled a lead of about five seconds over Mike Truhe who qualified third, for about the first two minutes of the race. Mike made a couple of mistakes which allowed runner-up Cody Turner by for second. Turner tried to make a charge the last minute, but the gap was too far apart. Steven ended up winning by about five seconds over Turner. Hayato Matsuzaki rounded out the podium. In Mod Truck Steven got out to a good lead and put in good consistent laps. By the end of the race, he was almost a lap up on second placed Matt Castellano and Mike Truhe in third position.

Kay Koops joins Team Serpent

Former 1/6th large-scale off-road European Champion Kay Koops has joined Serpent to run the company’s Cobra 1/8th buggy. Kay will run the Dutch Buggy-Cup and he also plans to attend the Neo race and 2013 European Championships.

Xray XB9 40T active front differential

Xray introduce the 40T active front differential for the XB9 off-road buggy. The adjustable gear diff sports a special design with angled internal segments that let the unit engage more in on-power situations in order to increase forward traction and stability and to make the buggy faster and easier to drive.

Mirko Bianchi takes UISP Italian title

Hosted by the Monsummano Terme track in Italy, the UISP Italian Championships have been won for the 4th consecutive year by Mirko Bianchi (Mugen/White TBR 2.0/Diavel fuel/Strike bodies) followed by Simone Fanti (Associated) in 2nd and Daniele Chicca (JQ) in 3rd. In the F2 category Simone Presta Asciutto also of Team Bianchi took the title followed by Fiorenza Giovanni and  Michelucci Christian in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

DE Trinidad ST T4.1 wheels

DE Racing have released a second offset in their new Trinidad ST series, this model being for the Team Associated T4.1. One of the most unique features of this wheel, beyond the scale truck appearance, is the use of a 12mm hex drive. This not only makes for a more reliable drive system, but the trucks wheels and tires can now be easily rotated from the front to rear giving more tuning options and longer tire life. Available in black, silver, white and yellow.

Serpent Cobra electric sport buggy

Serpent have released the next addition in the growing Serpent Cobra line. The Cobra electric sport buggy is based on the full race version of the E-Buggy and shares the race genes and geometry and most technical features. The Sport version features some less expensive materials, without suffering performance wise. This electric powered animal with its front mounted motor and electronics, super low longitudinal battery placement and super performing diffs and shocks will provide sheer endless amounts of run-time and race excitement. All parts and options of the high end race version fit this Sport version too, so a step by step upgrade is possible.
