Yannick Aigoin wins French EFRA GP

The EFRA GP of Reims took place last weekend at the northern French town and attracted a rather low 66 drivers. With the weather cooperating and sunshine all weekend it was Associated driver Yannick Aigoin that took the pole position ahead of Xray driver Renaud Savoya in 2nd and Agama racer Jerome Sartel in 3rd. The first non French driver was Spaniard Borja Hernandez with the LRP car in 4th. In the semis it was business as usual for the two former European Champions with Aigoin and Savoya winning their respective finals but it was Yannick who would start from pole in the hour long A-main. As the race started Aigoin would cement his dominance on the event by taking the lead and proceeding to pull out an advantage. German Mugen driver Daniel Reckward moved passed Savoya around the 10 minute mark and would maintain in 2nd position for the remainder of the race. Near the half way point Savoya hit trouble and would drop to the back of the pack. This moved Borja Hernandez to 3rd and he would hold on to the final podium position until the final minutes of the race when Sartel would come through to take the spot and complete the podium behind Reckward in 2nd and winner Yannick Aigoin.

Avid vented motor plate for B4.1 & TLR22

Avid RC have released this new vented motor plate for both the B4.1 and TLR22. Take advantage of the unique design of the Avid vented motor plates to improve your buggy or truck. The design team wanted to remove as much weight as possible up high, so they created the 45 degree angled vents which cut completely through the part which removed weight and added much-needed airflow around the motor-plate, yet still maintaining a rigid motor plate to keep gear mesh consistent. 100% milled which avoids all the extra stress that comes from stamping parts in order to keep the motor plates flat and your gear mesh perfect. Each plate is made from black anodized 3mm 6061-T6 aluminium with silver chamfered edge.

JConcepts Finnisher for MBX-6R

JConcepts have announced the release of their Finnisher body for the Mugen MBX-6R. Increased windshield angle provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps. Forward cab placement changes performance / visible bias which helps steering rotation in low traction corners. The side-pods have a strong and chiseled look, including a recessed area in the rear which allows another option for air-escape. The chassis side-guard to body fit has been tightened up which helps eliminate large empty voids that contribute to mid-flight directional changes. The area behind the cab has been greatly lowered exposing more of the engine heat-sink allowing more heat-escape.
