DE Racing Borrego rims & Losi mudguards

DE Racing release new parts in the form of silver colour Borrego rims and Losi Ten-T and 810 mudguards. The rims suit most of today’s 1/10 scale electric buggies and are available in different variants to fit the TLR/Losi 22, Team Associated B4/B44, Kyosho RB5/ZX5 and Team Durango DEX210/410 V3. Featuring ROAR legal width and diameters the realistic headlock wheels also sport a mud cover to prevent mud from excessively building up.

Sonic nitro engines announced

Sonic Nitro Engines are happy to announce the upcoming release of their new competition engine brand. Produced according to the highest level of quality standards by a well-established Italian engine manufacturer the new line of engines includes an 1/8 on-road engine called Sonic V.21T, a 1/10 touring car engine called V.12T and an 1/8 off-road engine called V.21B. The engines were extensively tested in cooperation with some of the best drivers of the world to ensure an optimised performance regarding power and fuel consumption. Spec-R release a cleaning clay that picks up all of the dirt and dust a car collects on the track. A special formula also absorbs oils and grease nitro engines produce making it ideal for the use on the chassis, suspension, engine and exhaust parts. The clay comes in an airtight storage container that holds 85g of the grey-coloured product.

The Hype Battery Analyzer measures the condition of LiXX and NiXX batteries fast and easy. The unit offers both a balancer connector for 2S to 7S LiXX and a standard JR connector for 4 to 7 cell NiXX packs. Three buttons help to navigate through the menu that allows for measuring the overall voltage, remaining capacity, single cell voltage, lowest cell voltage, highest cell voltage and voltage difference between the highest and lowest cell. The data is displayed on a large LC display.

Travis Amezcua wins JBRL 1/8 electric buggy class

Travis Amezcua has won the 2011 Electric 1/8 Buggy Class at the prestigious JBRL Nitro series. The series visited multiple tracks across southern California over eight months. His Mugen MBX6 Eco powered by LRP equipment proved to be unbeatable. Travis would also finish out the series third in expert gas buggy with his MBX6R powered by the new Ninja JX21-B02 engage. Both rides where rolling on AKA rubber. Travis would like to thank the entire JBRL and Hot Rot Hobbies staff for making the 2011 JBRL series such a huge success.

Adam Drake Sweeps JBRL Nitro Series finals

The final round of the 2011 JBRL Nitro Series was held last weekend at Hot Rod Hobbies. The event was scheduled to be run dry and blue groove, but Mother Nature had a different plan. A rain storm hit late Friday night, but the Hot Rod Hobbies crew did an amazing job to pump off the water and start racing at 10am. The JBRL series consists of eight races with five counting towards your point total over the course of eight months. In the Expert 1/8th Truck class Adam Drake had the championship wrapped up, but still competed in the final race to get more track time. Drake TQ’ed both rounds of qualifying and won the final by a large margin. Second went to Jesse Robinson and third place was Matt Schreffler. Adam Drake is the 2011 JBRL Nitro Series Champion, Cody King second, and Jesse Robinson finished third.
