Elias Johansson wins at Swedish 1/10th Buggy Nats Rd1

The opening round of the Swedish 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals was recently held at the Green Hill track in Stockholm. The weather was quite cold and windy but a good turnout of racers made for fun and tight racing. The qualifying was a 3-horse race between Team Associated’s Elias Johansson, Wilhelm Sköldebrand and Niclas Månsson, the later ending up taking the overall TQ. In the opening A-main, Elias Johansson was able to grab the win after having a mixed first part of the leg but with about 50 seconds on the clock the leader made a mistake which promoted Elias into the lead. A2 again saw the leader making a mistake, this time at about halftime. Elias would benefit and he was able to bring home the win and with it the overall victory from Niclas Månsson 2nd and Wilhelm Sköldebrand 3rd.

Thanks to Elias Johansson for the report.

4theTop XB8 2017 carbon fibre brake conversion kit

Coming from 4theTop and made for Xray’s XB8 2017 buggy is a carbon fibre brake conversion kit. It includes a ball-raced carbon fibre centre differential plate for better and more consistent braking as well as a set of carbon fibre brake discs. Their design in combination with the material used will make for less centre diff fading as the diff case and thus the diff oil will stay cooler even during long finals, resulting in improved overall performance. On top of this will the brake action fade less, again making for a more consistent car over the run.

RDRP B6-series C & D aluminium arm mounts

Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced their new C and D aluminium arm mounts for the Team Associated B6 and B6D 2WD buggies. The suspension hangers are direct replacements for the kit’s aluminium C and composite D parts and they add valuable toughness especially when running in demanding track conditions or when competing in modified classes. Machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminium and coming in either black or blue anodising the parts also add visual impact. With their lightweight yet sturdy construction the mounts, which are available separately, hardly add any weight meaning the buggy’s weight bias does not change and they are a direct fit on both the B6 and B6D when using Team Associated’s #92014 suspension inserts.
