The 2nd round of the F1RCGP was held in the well known Yatabe Arena Circuit at Ibaraki last month. The world’s biggest indoor RC circuit attracted big names like multiple World and National Champion RC legend Masami Hirosaka, National Champion Shinnosuke Adachi and National finalist Takashi Kato, Kazuki Endo and Takao Mizumizo.

Fastom, owner of Motonica, Xtyres and Vox brands, have released a new body shell for 1/8th scale on road competition cars. Based on the Peugeot 908 (EFRA 31516), this body shell, developed in collaboration with young Italian driver Nicola Marrone, was presented for the first time last week at Locorotondo Warm Up ending up second thanks to Dario Balestri’s Motonica.

DNM Tech have released their new high performance clutch, the result of 4 months of development and which has been under test by club and national level racers. The clutch offers fast acceleration due to its reduction of rotating mass and on top of that, the clutch is affordable for all racers and can be purchased in maximum performance or more economical package (aluminum bell / steel bell). The lightweight design, offers a 60-70% reduction in weight compared with some original clutch set. The set includes everything you need, with the exception of pinion gears, and is available for the Xray NT1 and Kyosho V-One series.

The 3-hour race for 1/10 scale nitro touring cars which was supposed to be run the upcoming Saturday at Oberhausen in Western Germany has been canceled. Following the insufficient number of entries the organising MRC Alstaden Oberhausen had no other option than to refuse this long distance race. Nevertheless, in case of a lively interest it is still possible to held the event later this year. Furthermore this cancellation means that the opening of the 2010 nitro on road season is postponed for one week only. At the Easter weekend (03/04 April) the first round of the Nitro West Masters, open for 1/8 and 1/10 nitro cars, will take place at Oberhausen.

KO Propo America have been in touch to announce the Mini-Z Grand Prix II that will be hosted by Inside Line Racing in the Cupertino Square (Vallco) Mall on April 24, 2010. Last year saw 75 drivers bring Mini-Z racing to the public inside the Cupertino Square Mall were hundreds of people stopped by to view the racing in the mall as they shopped and this year they expect to be no different. T.O.P. Racing have released an optional LiPo chassis conversion set for the Photon. The new chassis plate is available in 3 versions, standard, stiff & super stiff and has eliminated the motor recess area and Sub-C battery slots meaning its stronger and the chassis flex has also been optimised. The new plate also allows the flipping of the front and rear belts to allow the placement of the electronics more towards the battery side, so the car could be balanced with a total weight as low as 1,350g. A new aluminium battery mounting, positioning and balancing system allows for 2 LiPo mounting positions for the center guide and the aluminum alloy outer guides and allows for independent fine adjustments of left/right & front/rear positions to optimize weight balancing and at the same time allows for a snug fit of any popular LiPo battery with simple alloy spacers.

Shepherd have announced the partnership with another world-class driver. 1/5th Scale World Champion 2007 and 2008 1/10 IC Track World Championship finalist Martin Lissau will use the Shepherd Velox V10 for the upcoming season. He will attend the Danish National Championship as well as this years European Championship A in Goteborg to join the already strong team around World Champion Daniele Ielasi and other international top drivers. Martin had the following to say:
