MIP TLR 22 Bi-Metal Super Diff kit

Coming from MIP and made for the TLR 22 series of buggies and trucks is the Bi-Metal Super Diff kit. It features a race-proven 2-piece outdrive design that helps to shed about 30 percent of the OEM rotational mass without sacrificing strength and durability. To compliment the advantages of the Bi-Metal outdrives it also includes all-American diff components including tungsten carbide diff balls, diff rings, 2-piece captured thrust assembly, bearings, machined aluminium T-Nut, and a new spring/screw. Also part of the package are updated aluminium diff hubs that now accept the TLR dimension diff rings, allowing for easier rebuilds. The diff fits all 22 series vehicles and it is available now.

Protoform P47-N 1/10th 200mm nitro touring body shell

Protoform have introduced the next evolution of the IFMAR World title-winning P37 body shell, the P47-N. Featuring all-new aero concepts and some design cues never before seen in the class, the P47 was exhaustively tested by Protoform’s team to find a body that offers more precise and smooth steering, increased corner speed and forward bite, and additional top speed on long straights. A raised section of the left side window can be cut out to scoop air into the body for additional engine cooling, and a large high-downforce/low-drag wing complete the design. The body meets all EFRA (#2058), IFMAR and ROAR body rule requirements and is available as .025″ light weight and .030″ regular weight variant. Included with the P47 is a decal sheet, paint-then-peel overspray film, window masks and durable nylon wing mounting hardware.

Rain hampers Day 1 at ETS Slovakia

After basking in the sunshine in free practice yesterday, drivers didn’t fair as well on the official opening day of ETS Round 5 in Slovakia as a number of rain showers effectively wrote off any meaningful running at the Hudy Arena. Waking to rain this morning in Trencin with further rain showers over the morning, a dry track finally appeared after lunch allowing a round of 3-minute practice to prepare the track for qualifying.  With further rain forecast for the morning, the schedule was brought forward to run two rounds of qualifying over the rest of the day but 9 heats in to the 27 heats the heavens opened again bringing a stop to proceedings.

Serpent Project 4X linear upper arm connectors

Coming from Serpent and made for the Project 4X touring car are new linear upper arm connectors. The parts are designed to be used with shorter links with the new default link length being achieved by using the included balljoints and set screws. The ball joints are mounted touching each other so no measuring is needed. Using the new parts will result in a refined geometry that offers more linear action over the full suspension movement while the standard geometry has a degressive characteristic. With the set the suspension will be getting less soft under compression, resulting in improved car control especially in high grip conditions. The connectors are available as full set and also separately.
