RaceOPT progressive 1/8th GT shock springs

RaceOPT have introduced three High Response progressive shock springs for 1/8th GT cars. Using 2.3mm to 2.5mm wires, the springs are available as hard 3.2-4.2, medium 3.2-3.8 and soft 3.2-3.4 variant all of which offer a soft initial hardness and increasing stiffness upon compression, resulting in less traction rolling issues while improving steering response. The springs come in sets of two and they are colour-coded for easy identification.

VBC Racing Lighting10M-235 Pro10 chassis kit

VBC Racing have introduced the Lightning10M-235 Pro10 chassis kit. Taking design features of the Lightning12M and LightningFXM chassis, the 235mm wide car features a redesigned chassis that is narrower than the one used in the previous kit. It still allows for standard inline, shorty inline as well as transverse shorty battery positions but does away with the numerous side cutouts for optional weights, meaning an overall stiffer chassis construction. Also part of the package are new composite X Silver front upper and lower arms, a hardened steel diff axle, the True Big Bore centre shock as well as hardened spring steel turnbuckles. The kit is rounded out by 7075-T6 aluminium steering knuckles.

Yokomo YR-10F carbon fibre front stiffener

Yokomo have released a carbon fibre front stiffener brace for the YR-10F formula car. Machined from high-quality carbon fibre the brace attaches to the lower front arm mount and adjustable grub screws apply pressure to the lower arms, keeping them from bending too much when running on high bite surfaces. The amount of pressure is adjustable via the grub screws and while sort of reinforcing the front suspension the part also acts as a body post mount, allowing easy front wing changes without having to worry about the body mount position.

RPM Kraton & DEX8T front arm set

RPM have introduced an upper and lower front arm set for the ARRMA Kraton and Team Durango DEX8T trucks. Designed primary for strength and durability the arms offer a few extra features in as well. First is slop elimination. The A-arms reduce the amount of movement of the A-arm at the inner mounts, providing for better steering response and more consistent camber, caster and toe angle settings. Next improvement is the addition of a second shock mount hole further out on the arm, providing for a lower profile suspension set-up, allowing the shocks to lay down a little further, dropping the ride height for a lower center of gravity. As an added bonus, the front A-arms are roughly 10 percent lighter than stock while also being designed with leading and trailing 30 degree chamfered edges for smoother transitions over obstacles too tall for the suspension to clear. The arms fit the ARRMA Kraton, Talion and Outcast trucks as well as the Team Durango DEX8T and two sets are needed for a complete conversion.
