Kyosho have updated the Inferno GT2 1/8th nitro on-road kit that is now called the Inferno GT2 Race Spec 1/8 GP 4WD RS. The vehicle has been tuned up for even greater performance to deliver speeds over 70km/h. While keeping all the main chassis components unchanged, the adoption of the front-mounted radio box from the MP9 uses optimal weight balance to increase grip and improve overall running performance. With aluminium parts anodised in Kyosho’s signature gun metal the new version stand out from its predecessor and the included Syncro 2.4GHz KT-331P transmitter automatically manages frequency bands and features LCD screen, jog dials, model selection, endpoint adjustment, dual-rate and exponential settings. New servos deliver both high-torque and high-speed and the set is rounded out by a red Audi R8 LMS bodyshell.

Coming from RPM and made for the Traxxas X-Maxx monster truck is the front bumper mount. A direct replacement for the Traxxas part, the mount is a stout, ultra strong alternative to the small beam supports offered with the stock mount. RPM’s version replaces those small tubular posts with a large, 4mm thick plate, offering increased durability and flexibility to help absorb those heavy frontal impacts. TLR have introduced their new TLR 22 4.0 1/10th 2WD off-road buggy kit. Building on the successful 3.0 kit, that was introduced back in November 2015, the 4.0 variant was developed with maximised versatility in mind. The kit builds on a new lightweight 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that has been revised to accommodate a variety of battery configurations while machined pockets take optional weights to fine-tune the buggy’s weight bias. Included are also two transmission options, a standup gearbox for low to medium-bite tracks as well as a laydown option that moves the motor about 20mm towards the centre which is helpful especially on high-bite surfaces.
Coming from Sweep Racing is the FTG tyre glue, an adhesive specially designed for use on front tires. With the latest generation of high-grip tracks it is often needed to seal the tyre’s sidewall with CA glue to prevent the car from flipping in tight or high speed corners. The FTG glue was specially developed to offer easy application, without having to fear the glue drips over the tyre’s tread, ruining a brand new set, but it is also meant to last much longer than conventional adhesives that often chip easily, making it necessary to frequently reapply a fresh coat of glue. The glue is usable for both rubber and foam tyre racing on any track surface and it comes including a set of needles for easy application.

Italian company BMT has revealed full details on their all-new 016GT 1/8th nitro GT car. Building on the success of the 011, the kit was developed to provide an ultra low centre of gravity which was achieved by a newly shaped fuel tank and a laydown servo configuration. A specially designed electronics support allows for a swift release after undoing only three screws. Also new is the lightweight transmission with 2-speed gearbox being as light as possible for improved acceleration, braking and mileage while also utilising 0.8 module gears for greater overall drivetrain efficiency.
Coming from JConcepts and made for the Mugen MBX7R and Team Associated RC8B3 is the front scoop. Introduced at the 2016 IFMAR World Championships in Las Vegas, the front scoop replaces the front nose-cone on the vehicle with a front wing design that has shown to produce enhanced steering characteristics. The scoop can be painted, left clear or frosted for the desired look, fit and finish and the set includes two pieces per package so a driver has enough to outfit their nitro and E-buggy with the same package.

JConcepts have added a new 3-D-printed option part to their Shapeways store in the form of the 3-gear laydown transmission gear shield. The part slides directly on the Yokomo 3-gear transmission case and aligns with the stock geometry. The motor plate installs just over the gear shield and is positioned as normal. The gear shield is protection for the spur gear itself but also protects the low-profile body designs such as the JConcepts S2 and F2 bodies. The part is now available exclusively through Shapeways.
