Chaussard wins 1/10 French Nats Rd2

…to 5th and this allowed J-Philippe Michel into 3rd at the end behind winner Maxime Favrelle and runner up Frederic Bourrillon. In the Elite final, after a restart because of timing problems, it was Mickael Pontal into the early lead from Basile Concialdi, but problems mid way through the race for the front running group allowed Xray driver Arnaud Chaussard through into the lead from where he took control and went onto win from Concialdi in 2nd and Renaud Monin in 3rd. Richard Volta wins French 1/8 Nats Rd2

…meant the win went to Tequi, from Baehrel in 2nd and Arnaud Mathieu in 3rd. In the Elite class final Volta got straight into the lead but was hassled for the first half of the race by the chasing pair of Nicolas Guillot and Jérôme Papaconstantinos. Volta, driving a Shepherd Velox, eventually managed to pull out a gap and take the win, and following problems for Guillot, the Kyosho pairing of Papaconstantinos and Adrien Siefried finished in 2nd and 3rd. Desmaries wins 1/10 French Nats Rd1

More French National results with the first round of the 1/10th 200mm Championships taking place last weekend in Toulouse in very south of France. With 87 racers present and split into 2 categories, Elite and National, it was Serpent racer Jacky Mouton that claimed the pole position ahead of his RB team mate Arnaud Chaussard, racing the Xray NT1. Richard Volta wins French 1/8 Nats Rd1

The first round of the French 1/8th scale on road Nationals was run last weekend in Angouleme in the west of the country. Saturday’s qualifying eventually saw dry conditions after a wet start to the day and in the Elite class it was newly signed Shepherd racer Richard Volta that was quickest followed by Kyosho driver Adrien Siegfried in 2nd and Sebasian Zatla racing a Motonica in 3rd. 2007 IFMAR 1/8th scale Worlds – Preview

Argentina is the host country for the 2007 IFMAR 1/8th scale World Championships and as the elite of the RC World descend on the country’s 2nd city, Cordoba, we bring you our event preview. Mickaƫl Pontal wins Coupe de France

Further catching up on missed news comes the results from the Coupe de France that was run for 1/10th scale 200mm cars at the Thionville track last weekend. In qualifying for the Elite class it was Mickaël Pontal that set the fastest time ahead of Basile Concialdi in 2nd, while in the National class it was Joffrey Defie that sealed the top spot in front of of S. Richard Volta wins Rd5 of French 1/8th Nats

The 5th and final round of the French 1/8th scale Nationals took place last weekend at the fast and flowing Clermont Ferrand track in the south of the country, host of the 1999 World Championships. In qualifying it was Mugen racer Richard Volta that claimed the pole position for the Elite class with a new lap record ahead of 2nd placed qualifier Sébastien Zatla for Kyosho while in the National class the pole spot went to J-P Chaussade with D.
