KO Propo’s popular RSx one10 range of servos soon gets an addition in the form of the RSx one10 Type S. The high-voltage compatible servo, on show during this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show, measures 41×25.5x21mm and it weighs in at 51g. It features a coreless motor and will pull up to 8.2kg-cm at a speed of down to 0.08s/60°. More information will become available in time for the release.

During this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan Sanwa have introduced the new Super Vortex Gen2 and Super Vortex Stock Type brushless speed controllers. Starting with the Super Vortex Gen2, the controller is the follow-up model of the Super Vortex Zero and features SSR and SSL compatibility, it can make use of the Code 10 feature for M12S and Exzes ZZ radios and it also sports improved telemetry functions. All that is housed in a new all-aluminium case and the controller is fully programmable using Sanwa’s optional programming box.
Yeah Racing have introduced their new 4-piece Allen wrench set. The tools make use of very lightweight aluminium handles, weighing in at only 22g each, that feature an anti-slip shape for effortless wrenching. Specially treated tool tips make for a long life of both the tools and the screws and included are 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm types with the set being available in orange, pink or black colour.
Over 120 racers rolled into Rockhampton, Australia for the recent 2016 Rock Cup. This is one of the most anticipated races of the year for many drivers with epic track conditions and great competition. Saturday morning would begin with controlled practice, followed by three rounds of qualifying. Aaron Stringer went onto TQ rounds one and two of Nitro Buggy and would finish off the day with a 2nd in round three. The fourth and final round of qualifying was ran Sunday morning where Aaron would go onto lay down an impressive run to secure the overall TQ. He would then go onto dominate the Nitro Buggy A-Main Event by leading every lap and cruising home for the win.

Available now from Ruddog Distribution are the RP540 sensored competition brushless motors. Made using the latest technologies in terms of development and production the motors weigh in at a lightweight 170g and they are utilising high-grade materials including Japan-made steel stator plates and 99.9 percent high-temperature pure copper wire. Large, machined openings in the all-aluminium can improve cooling and provide constant performance over the entire runtime, even under the hottest of conditions. Furthermore the motors feature pre-shaped heavy-duty solder tabs, adjustable timing and they are available in a range of windings including 4.0T to 8.5T modified and 13.5T to 21.5T stock variants.
JConcepts have introduced the yellow-colour Dirt Racing Products Dirt Bands rubber tyre glueing bands. A uniquely moulded design, specifically developed for tyre mounting, the rubber band is produced in a high-elasticity material capable of stretching to a full assortment of different sized tyres including 1/10th, SCT and 1/8th buggy tyres. A finely detailed array of ergonomically shaped handles allows the user to adjust the rubber band to the sidewall of each tyre to apply the pressure where it is needed. The Dirt Bands are coloured in Dirt’s signature yellow colour and will include four bands per package.

A common sight especially in 1/8th scale racing the rotary tools allow for swift and easy tool tip changes and this is were VP Pro’s tool holder tray steps in as it holds up to 24 different tool tips along with a glow igniter and also two quick-change handles. The tray measures 142x58x16mm and it is made from lightweight yet durable black-anodised aluminium. Laser-etched logos round out the high-quality look.
Following several teaser images Italian company Bittydesign have introduced their all-new Ascari 190mm touring car bodyshell. Developed in cooperation with surface modelling engineers and car designers the body features an all-new look with performance to match. With a focus on consistent steering, thanks to the stepped front-end design, and balanced rear downforce, utilising a channeled roof and rear window section, the EFRA-legal body also offers high overall grip thanks to sculptured side skirts, making it ideal for both asphalt and carpet racing. It is made using lightweight 0.75mm Lexan material and it comes including window masks, decal sheet and lightweight wing mounting hardware.
