SWorkz carbon 1/8 wing shim plates

SWorkz factory team partner RC Carbon Cavalieri has produced two new carbon options for their 1/8 cars. Available in two different versions, the wing shim plate can raise the height of the mounted wing, 5mm or 10mm, by placing it between the rear wing mount and wing itself. This allows for easy fine tuning of the rear downforce of your car.

TLR 22X-4 carbon fibre chassis

TLR have introduced this carbon fibre chassis for the 22X-4 4wd buggy. Weight is the best way to improve the performance of your 22X-4, making the buggy handle better, stay flatter, accelerate harder, brake quicker, land smoother and just go flat-out faster. The 22X-4 2.5mm aluminium chassis weighs around 115g, while the 22X-4 Carbon Chassis weights in at 75-77g – a weight savings of 38-40g. The massive 40g weight savings allows spec racers to run full-sized short batteries at near minimum weight. Unlike most off-road carbon fibre chassis that are cut from flat sheet carbon and require an aluminium front bulkhead for the chassis kick up, which effectively cancels out the weight savings, this carbon chassis is laid and includes the front chassis kick up in the carbon plate so no extra weight is added back on.

Daniel Kobbevik double at Norwegian Nats Rd2

Round 2 of the Norwegian Nationals was held at the technical and bumpy astro track ‘Radoy Raceway’. This is on the west coast of Norway, so weather can change fast and be pretty bad, but this weekend was warm and nice weather. Every thing was organised well and it was good amount of drivers and fun in the pits. 2wd qualifiers started Saturday morning and Daniel Kobbevik was in his own league, taking the TQ in all four rounds. That meant Daniel could start from pole with his Hobbywing/Sunpadow powered Xray XB2. In A1 Daniel pulled away right away and lapped the whole field. In A2 Daniel was hit by a car in the start and when Daniel tried to get passed, he was taken out again, falling down to 5th place, and had to work the way back to the front but still managed to take a comfy win. This gave Kobbevik the overall win ahead of Yokomo driver Adrian Sognestad in 2nd and Vincent Rûger with his Xray in 3rd.
