MIP TLR 22T 2.0 17.5T Pucks drive system

MIP have introduced the 17.5T Pucks drive system for the TLR 22T 2.0 race truck. The aluminium based drivetrain system which aluminium diff outdrives, aluminium C-CVD bones, and replaceable plastic orange wear pucks that take the place of inferior steel pins. This combination greatly increases the longevity of the drivetrain and most importantly decreases the drivetrain’s overall rotating mass by around 50 percent The decrease in weight directly results in quicker acceleration, deceleration, and lower motor temps especially in stock racing classes.

Greiner secures dominant overall TQ at ENS Italy

Dominic Greiner secured an early overall TQ for tomorrow’s Euro Nitro Series title deciding final in Italy, a third TQ run by the Serpent driver in the third of the four qualifiers putting pole position beyond the reach of his rivals.  With four drivers in contention to become the new 1:10 Champion, the grid will see the drivers line up in reverse as to how they came into the weekend in the standings.  Third in the standings ahead of Greiner, it is Bruno Coelho who will start 2nd after the Xray driver denied Serpent a 1-2 by taking the final qualifier ahead of Alessio Mazzeo.  Second in the standings behind his HB team-mate Jilles Groskamp, Aigen winner Teemu Leino will line-up 4th for the start of the 45-minute Main with marked improvements from Groskamp over the final two qualifiers securing him 7th.

Balestri is Top Qualifier at ENS title decider

Dario Balestri is Top Qualifier for the title deciding season finale of the Euro Nitro Series in Fiorano, Italy.  The Capricorn driver secured pole position for tomorrow’s 45-minute main when he posted a second TQ run in the fourth & final qualifier at the Mini Autodromo Jody Scheckter track ahead of Robert Pietsch and Lamberto Collari.  With only reigning 1:8 champion Simon Kurzbuch and Daniele Ielasi in contention for the overall TQ going into Q4, both would fail to repeat their early TQ runs with Ielasi posting a P4 run while Kurzbuch was 5th fastest.  The result means that Kurzbuch will start second behind Balestri with the third of the title contenders Pietsch lining up 4th behind Ielasi.

EOS announces cost reduction tyre ruling

After a hugely successful opening round to Season #5 of the Euro Offroad Series at the famous full size Nurburgring race track in Germany, the championship is pleased to officially announce two changes in relation to the handout Schumacher tyres.  Coming into effect for Round 2, which takes place at the Hudy Racing Arena in Slovakia next month (20-22 Nov), drivers will be limited to two sets of preglued tyres per class.

Kurzbuch takes Q2 at ENS

Simon Kurzbuch has TQ’d the second round of qualifying at the Euro Nitro Series season finale in Italy.  Only 5th fastest in Q1, the Shepherd driver topped the round ahead of last year’s race winner Lamberto Collari with Robert Pietsch completing the Top 3.  For yesterday’s Q1 pace setter Dario Balestri, Q2 would result in a DNF after the championship leader had an off after running wide and hitting a damp patch from the overnight dew.

Balestri TQ’s Q1 ahead of Pietsch at ENS Italy

ENS 1:8 championship leader Dario Balestri has TQ’d the opening round of qualifying at the season finale in Italy.  The Capricorn driver topped the first of the four qualifier but just a tenth of a second from Robert Pietsch, the Mugen driver running in the second fastest heat after issues in controlled practice.  Behind the two title protagonists, qualifying top seed Lamberto Collari completed the Top 3 with his new Infinity chassis.  The third key title contender, reigning ENS champion Simon Kurzbuch would get a fifth for the round behind fellow Swiss racer Silvio Hächler.

Greiner TQs opening qualifier at ENS title decider

Dominic Greiner has TQ’d the opening round of qualifying at the title deciding season finale of the Euro Nitro Series in Italy.  The championship contender picked up where he left off in practice again heading a Serpent 1-2 from team-mate Alessio Mazzeo.  Another of the title contenders, Bruno Coelho would make a marked improvement over the 4-minutes to open qualifying with a 3rd while Spanish ENS debutant Eduardo Escandón backed up his impressive practice performance to record the fourth fastest time.  For championship points leader Jilles Groskamp and his HB team-mate Teemu Leino Q1 would only net P9 & 10 respectively.

Collari tops controlled practice at Italian ENS

Making his ENS debut with new 1:8 entrant Infinity, Lamberto Collari topped controlled practice at the concluding round of the Euro Nitro Series in Italy. Winner of the Fiorano event last year, then driving a Mugen, the 9-time World Champion set the fastest three laps ahead of fellow Italians Andrea Lorenzi and Mattia Collavo. Best of the visitors would be ARC’s Silvio Hächler, the Swiss driver posting the fourth fastest time around the Mini Autodromo Jody Scheckter track.  Of the title contenders it was defending champion Simon Kurzbuch who would prove fastest with 5th, almost 3/10th off Collari.  Having set the pace in practice, points leader Dario Balestri would be sixth ahead of Andrea Pirani, while Robert Pietsch would manage only 12th meaning the Mugen driver will run in the second fastest heat for qualifying.
