JConcepts sign up Ronda Drake

Fresh for 2021, Ronda Drake signs with JConcepts. Fascinated by RC at a young age, Ronda has made waves in Southern California starting in 1/10th off-road racing where she learned at a fast pace. Throughout the years, as new segments evolved, she has taken to the track in touring car, gas truck and eventually 1/8th off-road. A local on the scene, Ronda routinely races at tracks such as Thunder Alley, Revelation and Palm Desert Raceways where she uses her talent and expertise to stack-up podium results on a weekly basis. On the new deal, Ronda had this to say:

I first met Jason Ruona when he moved to California in 1997 and we became friends. The opportunity has finally presented itself and I proud to say that I’m excited to be joining the team for 2021 and beyond! Jason is very much involved with the team development, marketing, and always at the track with the ever evolving race scene. Jason being a top racer in the past, I truly value his knowledge and products. That being said, I’m excited to be a part of the JConcepts Team.

Davide Ongaro joins O.S. Engines factory team

O.S. Engines have announced that current 1/8th Offroad World Champion Davide Ongaro has signed a contract to join their factory team. Running LRP engines, which are O.S. based, for the past few seasons, including to win his World title in Perth in 2018, 2021 will see the young Italian Team Associated driver work directly with the Japanese company. O.S. said of the deal ‘We are proudly announcing that Davide Ongaro, the 2018 1/8 off-road world champion has signed a contract with O.S. engines. We hope to show great performance of our products in the coming season together with him.’

T-Work’s Airflow 1/8 buggy wing

T-Work’s have come up with a new 1/8 buggy wing which features a wickerbill design that allows greater air flow which increases the downforce when needed. Available in three colours, black, white & yellow, the Airflow wing has pre-drilled holes which saves you the hassle to have to drill them yourself. The package includes wing, as well as two wickerbills.

LC Racing +2mm aluminium servo arm

LC Racing have produced this +2mm aluminium servo arm for their LC12B1 1/12 buggy and 1/14 EMB series vehicles. The longer servo arm gives a faster steering response and the material used improves strength. Red anodised, it features a 23T spline.

Elliott Boots joins TPro factory team

TPro is very proud to announce that S-Workz driver Elliott Boots will join their factory team for the next years. Having announced his departure from Pro-Line on social media just yesterday, the two time European Champion has the following to say about his new tire deal:

I am super happy to be joining TPro racing for the next 3 years, I will be heavily involved with the development of the tires and will be working hard on compounds and designs. I look forward to our future together and very thankful for this opportunity.

Brandon Foote & Roger Seim win at Rockstar Series Rd2

Round 2 of PDX RC Underground’s 12th Annual Rockstar Winter Off-Road Series was held this past Friday. Once again it was a great turnout and all modified classes were stacked with some of the best talent from all over the Northwest. In the 2wd Modified Buggy class, 1up Racing’s Brandon Foote went onto dominate the night by winning all 4 rounds of heads up racing and secure the overall win with his Muchmore powered Team Associated B6.2. Harley Yoshii (1up Racing/Associated) took the big win in his final heat to secure 2nd overall for the night with Travis Harker (TLR) completing the podium in 3rd. In the 40+ 2wd Modified Buggy it was all Roger Seim (1up Racing/Associated) who won all 4 heats to take the overall win with Daniel Jeppesen finishing 2nd overall PDX Track Owner Kevin Focht finished in 3rd.
