JConcepts Hazard 1.9″ aluminium wheel

JConcepts has transformed the popular Hazard wheel into an aluminium and multi-material combination design that has a vibe like no other. In addition, included in the package are brass weights which cleverly assemble to the centre beadlocker of the wheel to add lower weight. The three-piece design consists of the aluminium machined inner and outer sections along with injection moulded centre beadlocker. The uniqueness of this combination allows quadrant mounted brass weights which drop in place and secure with steel hardware. The outside of the wheel provides all the detail with blasted finish, machined lip, built-in 12mm hex and threaded boss areas for assembly. The inner aluminium part balances the look and provides beefy locations for assembly with M2 x 6 screws to give the proper squeeze of components. A highly detailed, black anodised aluminium centre cap is also featured in the wheel set which installs after the wheel assembly is secured to the vehicle. Centre caps install over traditional 4mm wheel nuts and are secured with small and included M1.6 x 5 screws. Each Hazard wheel fully equipped with all 4 brass weights tip the scales at ~113g minus hardware.

Machined from 7075 alloy there is a 39T and 26T idler gear which is a must have for high powered racing applications. Ultimate Racing 1/8 offroad insert rubber rings

New from Ultimate Racing are these useful 1/8 offroad insert rubber rings. Manufactured to fit into each of the insert’s grooves, once fitted the insert is practically fixed to the rim. In this way, the insert is prevented from moving laterally, improving stability in fast corners. It also prevents the insert from ballooning making the car much more stable under acceleration. They can be used on most inserts, wheel brands and compounds, but their effects are greatest on soft compound tires. Depending on whether you want the insert to be more or less fixed, they can be used in all three grooves, in two or only in one. They are sold in bags of 50 pieces so that you can assemble from 4 to 12 complete cars depending on the amount of rubber bands used per insert. Once the life of the tire is over, they can be reused as many times as you want.

Schumacher Indoor Masters Rd2 – Report

This past weekend was the second round of the fantastic Worksop series, as always there was a great entry of drivers present. All abilities are welcome at this series, so they had Pro’s in attendance all the way through to new starters and even some people coming back to the hobby after 20 years away. The race format was round by round qualifying, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position. The Worksop team had designed a fantastic track layout for this event, some great off road features were built including the wall of death. As always this is very popular with racers due to new features and jumps being built fresh for these events. In 2wd qualifying, it was Neil Cragg who dominated proceedings by taking TQ in all 4 rounds, therefore he would line up on pole. Tommy Hall would be 2nd and Edward Callan would line up 3rd.
