Yeah Racing TT02 suspension & drivetrain option parts

Yeah Racing TT02 suspension & drivetrain option parts

Yeah Racing have new option parts for Tamiya’s TT02 touring car available in the form of rear lower aluminium A-arms, aluminium lower suspension mounts and universal driveshafts. Starting with the rear lower arms, they are made from high-quality aluminium and designed to reduce unwanted suspension flex and therefore add precision to this vital part of any RC car. They make for a smoother and more linear suspension movement and include new outer hinge pins and mounting hardware. Also new are lower aluminium suspension mounts. Again designed to reduce flex, increase precision and add durability the blue anodised parts are a drop fit solution and ideally used with the aforementioned A-arms. Last but not least come universal steel driveshafts for the TT02. They replace the kit’s plastic arrangement and make for a longer lasting and more efficient power transfer. The joint shaft’s cross pin is kept in place by a ring lock and the driveshafts are usable on both the front and rear of the chassis.

ROCS 2013 grand finale – Report

ROCS 2013 Grand Finale – Report

Competition in the second season of the RaceWorks Singapore Onroad Championship Series culminated in the season finale last Sunday. Featuring three classes, the ORCA SuperStock class (13.5T boosted), ORCA Spec class (17.5T blinky) and the Open 1/12 PanCar class, the season finale saw some 50 participants sign up to enjoy a day of racing action. In the ORCA SuperStock class, Daryl Thong, who was the series leader coming into this round, looked good in practice. In the first round of qualifying, however, a radio glitch resulted in a head-on crash into the wall at the end of the straight which snapped his chassis in two. Daryl was able to save his season by miraculously re-building his car on a new chassis within some 50 minutes, taking to the track just minutes before the start of Q2. With some impressive work, Daryl put in a TQ run despite not having setup the car as he simply ran out of time. With his car all set-up, Daryl was able to win all three legs of the final to win this round, his fourth race win of the season, and with it the overall series title. Alan Pang finished overall 2nd, while Colin Tong was overall 3rd.

Xray NT1 front and rear bulkheads

Xray NT1 front and rear bulkheads

Xray have new front and rear bulkheads for the NT1 200mm nitro touring car available. They are made from a new, harder material and ideal when racing in high ambient temperatures or on high-traction surfaces. The front bulkheads were redesigned to accommodate the new front wire anti-roll bar system. The rear upper camber link position on the bulkhead clamp has been provided to increase stability and is recommended for use in very high-traction conditions or when using large-diameter tires in order to help prevent traction rolling. The super-lightweight bulkheads have a very clean and lightweight design and a special composite mixture was developed to allow repetitive assembly and disassembly without stressing or wearing out the parts. All four bulkheads are available as separate items.
