Exotek RB6 alloy C-hubs & mid motor rear bulkhead

Exotek have new aluminium option parts for the Kyosho RB6 buggy available in the form of C-hubs and a mid motor rear bulkhead. Starting with the castor hubs, the parts are CNC-machined from 7075 aluminium and come anodised in Kyosho factory red colour. They weight in at 7g per set and are much stronger than the stock plastic hubs. The second new part is the mid motor rear bulkhead, again machined from 7075 aluminium. Coming red or black anodised the part is machined to weight just 12g while offering exceptional durability at the same time. The bulkhead works both with the stock plastic and Exotek’s optional carbon fibre shock tower.

Juan Pablo Golobic wins Argentine 200mm champs

The second round of the Argentine 1/10th 200mm championship took place at the Hernán Matticolli track, home of next year’s World Championships. The TQ went to Juan Pablo Golobic with the fastest time ever set on the track. In the final Capricorn/Novarossi driver Juan Pablo again excelled as he took the win in front of Agustín Cutini (Mugen/Novarossi) and third placed Sebastián Recio (Capricorn/Novarossi). The win of the second round also crowned Juan Pablo Golobic the 2013 Argentine champion.

Team Titan Blitz TS02E 200mm on-road body

Team Titan have a new on-road body available in the form of the TS02E. Designed for 200mm converted electric touring cars it features a triple wing design for added stability and performance. It comes as regular weight 1.0mm or lightweight 0.8mm version and both include window masks, decals, body stiffener parts and a rear wing.

Silvio Hächler wins 2013 Swiss Championship

The 5th round of the 2013 Swiss Championship was held at the Langenthal track with 70 drivers in attendance. On Friday most of the drivers arrived for practice and it was Silvio Hächler who was able to smash the track record, which later on was broken again by Simon to a 12.115. This time Simon started in two classes, 1/10 and 1/8 expert. Without any problem he took the TQ in 1/10 but in 1/8 he suffered from a broken engine during the first qualifier but in his second run, he was able to take TQ in the 1/8 class also. In 1/8 Amateur it was the Capricorn driver Christian Seiler who took the best starting position for the semi-final.

2013 Sidewinder Nitro Explosion – Report

Chula Vista Raceway was the scene for the 2013 Sidewinder Nitro Explosion with 170 entries and several pros in attendance. In the Truggy class it was Drew Moller who set the TQ starting first on the grid with Pro-Line team mate Adam Drake starting second. Drake would make an early race pass on Drew and lead the field around for the remainder of the 45 minute final. In the end Drake would take the win with Moller in second and Sean Gaffney in third.

JConcepts RB6/RT6 honeycomb motor mount

Following variants for Team Associated and TLR off-road vehicles JConcepts now release the honeycomb motor mount for Kyosho RB6 and RT6 kits. Machined from 3mm aluminium the motor plate features a special design to increase stiffness compared to conventional slotted heatsink motor mounts while still being light of weight thanks to numerous milled-out pockets. The motor mount is a direct replacement and available in blue or black colour.

Protoform Better Edge sanding block

Better Edge sanding block

Protoform introduce the Better Edge sanding block made from injection moulded nylon and covered with a strip of 120-grit sand paper. Designed to smooth out scissor imperfections along the bottom edges or rear wing of on-road and off-road bodies, the block also features two different diameter rounded ends for wheel wheels or suspension cut outs. It can also be used to sand parts and tyres. Each block includes a form-fitted strip of sand paper fastened to the block with a low-profile hook-and-loop system. A spare strip is included and replacement strips are available in 2-packs.

Serpent Spyder SRX-2 rear motor buggy

Serpent soon have the Spyder SRX-2 rear motor 2WD buggy available. The Billy Easton designed buggy features a composite fibre chassis, super-tough suspension components, big bore shock absorbers and carbon fibre shock towers. It is designed as pure rear motor buggy to make sure no compromises needed to be made while creating the platform. In October the kit will become available also as a dedicated mid motor version for indoor and high traction tracks followed by the Spyder SCT RM 2WD short course truck.
