Patrick Gassauer joins Team Magic

Team Magic and HRC Distribution have announced the signing of German racer Patrick Gassauer to their electric touring car team. Following successful tests with the all new E4RS II chassis, he has chosen this car to race in the 2012 season. Patrick, who has been a finalist in European and National championships, will drive for Shepherd in nitro on road.

Speedzone low profile bullet connectors

Speedzone have released their own line of low profile silver plated 4mm male bullet connectors. The silver plating provides these connectors with the lowest resistance and allows maximum current flow from the battery. Available in 12mm and 14mm lengths, 12mm being ideal for 1S packs. Sold as a pair.

Durango DESC210 2wd SC truck

At last weekends opening Euro Offroad Series race we were given a look at the soon to be released Team Durango DESC210 short course truck. The truck was making its debut in the Czech Republic and the team were using the event to test the final production parts on the car. Based off the DEX210 buggy, the chassis is all but identical but made longer to accommodate the larger trucks dimensions. Just like the DEX210, the car can be set up in rear or mid motor configurations, with the mid motor on carpet proving be very effective. We were told to expect a release in about 2 months.

Neumann dominates at Euro Offroad Series

Joern Neumann completed the perfect result on the opening weekend of the TLR/Spektrum Euro Offroad Series taking TQ honours and overall victory in both buggy classes at the Czech Republic event along with success in 4WD Short Course. The pre-event favourite started his day of by lifting the 2WD title with victories in Leg 1 & 3 of the A-Main but went on to make even lighter work of the 4WD Buggy class wrapping up the overall win in the second of the three legs.

Neumann wins 2WD Buggy at inaugural EOS

Joern Neumann will enter the history books as the winner of the opening round of the inaugural Euro Offroad Series after the German ace won the third leg of the A-Main to secure overall victory in the 2WD Buggy class.  Starting from pole position, Neumann led from start to finish ahead of Durango team-mate Hupo Honigl helping the team secure the top two steps on the podium of the TLR/Spektrum backed event with young TLR star Oskar Levin completing the Top 3 in the Czech Republic.

EcoPower Electron multi-chemistry chargers

A Main Hobbies introduce the EcoPower Electron 65 AC and 65 Quad multi-chemistry chargers for LiPo, LiFe and NiMH battery packs. Starting with the 65 AC, the charger works with 11 to 18VDC or 110 to 240VAC and delivers up to 5.0A of charging current. Featuring an on-board balancer, normal, fast and storage charge modes the charger handles up to 6S LiXX and 15 cell NiMH packs. Included with the charger come various charging harnesses and a 6S XH-style balancer board.

Neumann pulls off Qualifying double at EOS

Joern Neumann will carry the No.1 starting number on both his buggies in tomorrow’s A-Mains at the Euro Offroad Series opener in the Czech Republic after the German ace completed the double in buggy qualifying.  Having secured overall TQ honours in 2WD Buggy from Durango team-mate Hupo Hönigl, the European Champion went on to put in his fastest run of the weekend in the closing heat of the day to be crowned Top Qualifier again from his Austrian team-mate.

Neumann is EOS 2WD Buggy Top Qualifier

Joern Neumann is the 2WD Buggy Top Qualifier for the opening round of the TLR/Spektrum Euro Offroad Series after the German secured his third TQ run of the day in the fifth & final round of qualifying in the Czech Republic.  The Team Durango driver went into the last qualifier with only team-mate Hupo Honigl in a position to deny him the No.1 starting position but the Austrian rolled onto his roof on the opening lap bringing a very premature end to that challenge.
