FTW Diamondback SC body shell

FTW introduce the Diamondback short course body shell for most of today’s 1/10th 2WD and 4WD SC trucks. Innovation in design creates the illusion of a lean, chopped cab profile and a high-rise cowl induction hood was integrated with a provision for a huge cut-out to shed under hood air. The raked wind shield flows into a lowered center section of the roof, terminating in a gaping cutout provision strategically recessed into the back of the cab to further mitigate the parachute effect. Additional cut-out provisions in the bed area are surrounded by a roll cage. The body comes unpainted and includes two decal sheets and window masks.

Pro-Line 2012 Challenge – Report

The Pro-Line 2012 Challenge took place at the HNMC track and offered three days of racing with international drivers, a new track layout with option section, a junior race and mechanics race, 138 nitro buggies, 11 nitro truggies and 12 E-buggies. The club had taken this race on short notice so the organization for the event was a bit rushed, the HNMC team did the best they could and put their effort into building the best track yet. The weather for the event did not look good the week of the event but luckily only the Saturday would suffer with heavy showers thunder and lightning with qualifying being scrapped. Practice rounds were TQ’d by Elliot Boots and Tony Truman with Ryan Cavalieri and Joseph Quagraine finding there rhythm round the track. On Sunday drivers were greeted by a damp track that was drying nicely offering perfect conditions. Nitro buggy saw Elliot Booth and Ryan Cavalieri battling for the top position while the truggy class saw  Jon Hazlewood in front followed by Callum Niblett and Jon Howells. In E-buggy again Jon Hazlewood took the top spot followed by Craig Drescher and Mike Cradock. Klausner & Singer win Austrian champs Rd5

Last weekend the penultimate leg of the Austrian nitro on-road nationals took place at the Aigen/Schlaegl track, the venue for next year’s IC 1/8th on-road B European Championships. Wet track conditions on Saturday made for a very quiet practice. Later in the afternoon the track started to become dry and all drivers tried to get as much track time as possible. The first qualifying round on Saturday was run at good track conditions and was dominated by Michael Klausner in 1/8th and Manual Singer in the 1/10th class. On Sunday the predicted bad weather meant that nobody was able to improve times and drivers like Lubischa Paunovic, Alain Levy, Harald Wendy,  Peter Grandinger and Erich Scharler not even made it into the final.
