Exotek DR10 & TLR22 turbine cooling triple slipper disks

Exotek have introduced their new turbine cooling triple slipper disks for the DR10 and TLR 22 top shafts for quicker slipper cool downs before the next pass. Provides added consistency due to 3 friction plates and slipper cooling via the extra heat sink fins that also spins as fan blades as the motor turns for increased air flow over the slipper plate therefore helping reduce heat glazing of the slipper pads which results in melted pads. Includes 3 high grade LCF pro style slipper pads for Octalock type Associated spur gears (gear not included). Has a small 12mm inner diameter for more surface area for improved slipper efficiency and works with the stock DR10/TLR 22 top shafts and requires AE Octalock spur gears. Also from Exotek is this new heavy duty steel top shaft replacement for the 2wd Slash based drag cars for use with DR10 slipper sets or Exotek MK #2012 #2015 slipper sets or the Exotek #1942 slipper eliminator. A 1-piece no-pin construction for maximum reliability but still weighing only 12.5gr each.

Spashett & Fletcher take Rd2 of BRCA 1/8th nats

This past weekend saw the 2nd round of the BRCA 1/8 on-road section National Series hosted by Adur Model Car Club on the English south coast. All week racers were weather watching as the weekend forecast was for rain for most of the weekend, but what do those forecasters know. On Saturday the racers were greeted with a dry track, slightly overcast, but dry. Open practice started with and the set up process got underway for what is the smallest and arguably most technically difficult circuit we visit through the season. Timed practise mid afternoon showed what was in store for the race with only 1/10’s of a second separating the top 4 (Thurston, Wood, Spashett, Snell) in IC on their fastest lap. In the Electric class Billy Fletcher was again showing his pace but the surprise of day was Mark Green running electric for the first time was close behind. The day stayed dry and after timed practise the track was once again open for free practise for the drivers to fine tune their cars ahead of ‘race day’.

DeadFly MMX I-Brace & front balance weights

Two new items from DeadFly for the Awesomatix MMX, the first is this I-Brace which is a centre line rear brace that alters the rotation characteristics of the car. Using both screws provides the most rear end stability and least steering. By using just one front screw and a set screw in the rear hole, the I-Brace gives a spring effect on the chassis. Allowing more steering and rotation, but with more rear stability than no brace at all. The other new items is a pair of balance weights for the front of the car. Weighing 13 grams each that are machined from 3mm brass and can help alter the balance of the car.

RC Maker horizontal rear body post mounting set

RC Maker are excited to present their new revolutionary body mounting system for use with horizontal rear body posts. The handling benefits of horizontal rear body posts are unquestionable. The downforce leveraged onto the back of the bodyshell creates significant benefits to handling, by increasing the downforce distributed to the chassis, as well as making the body more attached during left and right transitioning. However, some major issues of this system are durability, stiffness and adjustability and this new design aims to address all of those issues with improved durability due to no longer have body holes in the rear of the body, stiffness has been drastically improved also through the use of carbon and clever design and finally adjustability is able to made in the smallest of increments, whilst having a total of 7mm of travel in each extension. Between the two different sizes of carbon extensions, 32-39mm and 39-46mm, there’s a possible 14mm of travel.
