Mattia Collina joins Schumacher Racing

Schumacher Racing have announced the signing of Mattia Collina to their onroad team. Mattia comes with a great pedigree, including ETS Pro Stock race winner, multiple EFRA Stock A finalist and 6 x Italian National Champion. He had the following to say:

I would like to thank Schumacher for the opportunity to be able to represent them in a year when the TC IFMAR Worlds will be right in my Country. I am excited to start working with the Team and make my contribution to achieve our common goals.

T-Works Kyosho GT3 gearbox plate

For the Kyosho GT3, T-Works have released this graphite centre gearbox plate. Featuring two bearings for the brake cams, the plate is a direct replacement for the kit metal version, reducing weight and adding that factory carbon look.

Fenix Racing G12 & G56 front end options

From Fenix Racing for their G12 and G56 come some new front end option parts. For the G12 and G56 there is now the ability to run the CRC long upper arms using a new carbon brace and upper arm mounting plates for each car. Exclusively for the G56 there is a wider front suspension mounting plate and brace that is 4mm wider than the regular part which allows the user to mount the wide CRC front end, suitable for fast flowing tracks.

Hold that perfect drift angle combined with high speeds with this Hackslider mini gyro V3 from Yeah Racing, pre-loaded with a customised firmware for Drifting. It comes with aluminium Heat-sink case for high efficiency cooling and features adjustments to suit every servo on the market, ranging from analog to digital servos and you can also reverse the direction which the gyro acts. The gain (or sensitivity) can be adjusted on the fly for drifters with transmitters featuring more than three channels and also can be adjusted on the gyro itself. Yukijiro Umino joins Team Serpent as designer/manager

Serpent has announced that former Yokomo touring car designer and top mechanic Yukijiro Umino has joined them in a designer/manager role. Away from the sport for 3 years, Umino was responsible for designing some of the most successful touring cars in recent years and was well known as Ronald Volker’s mechanic, their partnership culminating in the 2016 World title. Umino had the following to say about the deal:

First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Joaquin and Mr. Lau for giving me this great opportunity for joining Team Serpent. During the past three years I was away from the RC racing scene. However, my passion and motivation have never stopped. And now it is the time for me to move on. I will continue to come up with innovative ideas and create cars that will please everyone. Other than that, I will be involved not only in the races, but in all aspects of Serpent, so you can count on me.

T-Works TC-01 aluminium & carbon options

For the Tamiya TC-01, T-Works have produced even more new option parts. Starting with a 7075-T6 aluminium motor plate mount & graphite front upper plate, the set removes flex around the drivetrain, while new graphite front stiffeners increase the rigidity of the car’s tub chassis. The suspension rockers receive new aluminium rocker posts and for the front and rear of the car there are new ECS drive shafts.
