Losi MultiPro Intelligent balance charger

Team Losi’s new MultiPro intelligent balance charger is an all-in-one unit that will charge, balance charge and discharge a variety of popular RC batteries. The charger is compatible with LiPo, LiFe, NiMH, NiCd and Pb (Lead Acid) batteries. Its easy-to-read backlit LCD screen provides vital charger status and battery information, as well as simple programming and setup options. The charger’s banana plug output and multiple port balance connector (2-6S) provide for a variety of options for easy charging and multiple battery connection types. The charger also includes charge output cables for EC2, EC3, EC5, JST, Losi Mini, Glow Plug, Alligator Clip and Futaba connectors.

Lee & Stafford win Eden Park BRCA National

oOple are reporting on the third round of the 2009 BRCA 1/10th off road national series held last weekend at Eden Park Raceway. Ellis Stafford dominated 2WD qualifying with the X-Factory X-6 but couldn’t hold it together for the finals, instead it was the Tekin powered X-6 of Kevin Lee that took the win with two leg wins and a second. In 4WD Grant Williams kicked thing off with the win in round one of qualifying but it was Neil Cragg that took the overall TQ, winning rounds 2 & 3 before reigning 4WD champion Lee Martin took the final round. A hard fought A final saw three different winners in the three legs, Ellis Stafford and Neil Cragg with one win and a second each were tied on points but by virtue of his faster winning time it was Ellis Stafford that took the win.

Fine color printed with Hudy logo and graphics it is also available with a full range (18) of 48P (12-29T) or 64P (18-35T) pinions. The high-performance pinion gears are manufactured from special lightweight aircraft duraluminium to be super lightweight and are manufactured on a specially-modified precision gear machine with ultra-precise tolerances which assures unparalleled concentricity. After machining, the pinion edges are chamfered and then run-in. Pinions are given an even hardcoating so they stay absolute true for a long time.

LRP C3-STX Pro 2.4GHz F.H.S.S. Radio set

LRP have announced the C3-STX Pro 2.4GHz F.H.S.S radio set that, with all its high-tech features and specially selected electronic components, LRP claim it to be one of the best transmitters currently available on the market. Using the latest F.H.S.S. technology, it transmits radio signals using a certain frequency just for the blink of an eye so even if the carrier frequency is getting disrupted the interference is just affecting a fraction of the entire signal. A large LCD display enables you to view all the different setting parameters such as end point adjustment, trims, ABS, exponential as well as the ability to save and load up to 10 configurations.

Losi 1/10 Speed-NT RTR

Losi have released the Nitro powered version of their 1/10-scale Speed, called the NT. This ready-to-run truck is packed with performance-driven features like a Losi 3.4 high-performance nitro engine, a 2-speed transmission, and a Losi radio system with Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM technology. The included Losi 3.4cc ultra high-performance nitro engine is designed to deliver big power in a small package. Custom ported for maximum performance, the advanced design and manufacturing techniques are used to produce the largest displacement in a small block nitro engine.

Schumacher Mi4 F1 Stealth CVDs

Schumacher are now offering these high quality ‘F1 Stealth CVDs’ for their new Mi4 electric touring car. Manufactured by Titanium Racing they have been tested to the highest standards and used by Chris Grainger to win the recent BRCA National in Halifax. Careful pin positioning, reverse axle/bone orientation and the lightweight hardened alloy components used all have the effect of increasing traction and corner speed. These CVDs require Schumacher blade U1918, which is not included.

Xray Column – Getting into Summer season

The 31st installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj gives his thoughts about the first gas races of the year, that include the Neo race, Czech Masters and the Euro 1/10th scale ‘B’ Championships.

Even with the difficult economy, off-road racing remains a very strong racing class and seems to be expanding more every day. This is confirmed by the highly competitive and professional approach drivers take and you see this in their focus on the smallest details. The off-road market keeps growing and the battle between manufacturers is increasing as well. As we all have seen, there is new company offering an off-road car or truggy almost every week. The competition just gets tighter and stronger.

Euro Touring Series – Round 5

The 2008/2009 Much More backed ETS season finale (round 5) will once again take place at the awesome Andernach track, close to Koblenz in the West of Germany from the 17th to the 19th of July. A great event to cap off this years series, the organizers are once again planning a highly competitive race for both the Modified and Pro stock racers, as well as a fun relaxed atmosphere with plenty of other activities to keep drivers occupied between heats. Once again attracting the cream of European racers, like local World Champion Marc Rheinard, Jilles Groskamp, Ronald Volker, Viktor Wilck and many more, the ETS also expect more surprise international entrants in the build up to the race. In addition to the regular classes their will also be a hobby class run for Tamiya TT01 chassis’ split over a number of classes.
