GForce Zero Circle 2S 5400mAh LCG LiPo battery

Japanese company GForce has introduced their new Zero Circle 7.4V 5400mAh LCG LiPo battery pack. The lightweight low centre of gravity pack weighs in at 243g and it measures 139.5x47x22mm, making it ideal for all applications that require decent capacity and high output power. The battery is built using high-quality 75c cells and it utilises 4mm tube-type power connectors.

Exotek ET410 machined spur gear & mounting plate

New from Exotek is a machined heavy duty delrin spur gear and aluminium mounting plate set for the Tekno ET410 truck’s centre gear differential. The 2-piece design allows for quick and easy spur gear changes as the owner does not have to open the gear diff and remove the outdrive, or refill the oils. The alloy mounting plate also provides cooling of the diff fluid for more consistent diff action while the machined delrin spur gear provides robust durability along with smoother spur gear operation. The set includes a 53T 32 pitch spur gear that is also available separately.

Scorpion Champion Products introduce new chemicals

Available now from Toni Gruber’s Scorpion Champion Products brand are two new products that help to keep nitro vehicles in top condition. First up is a specially developed surface conditioner called Stick Silicone that is applied to drivetrain belts for, making for less friction and thus a more efficient drivetrain action. The result is better acceleration and less fuel consumption while on top of this, the belts also attract less dirt, ensuring a longer lifespan.

Savoya TQs & wins at French EP Off-road Champs Rd5

Round 5 of the French 1/10th Electric Off-road Championship was held at the CARCA track in Noeux Les Mines last weekend. While Thomas Musso walked away with the win, and the overall championship, in the 4WD Mod Buggy class it was TLR’s Renaud Savoya who dominated the 2WD Mod Buggy category by taking the overall TQ, coming out on top in all three A-mains and also clocking the fastest lap of the weekend. Behind him, it was the Xray duo of Thomas Anger and Mathieu Briere who would snatch the final two podium spots.

Collin Weatherholt wins at Labor Day Challenge

Clark RC Park of Reeseville, Wisconsin hosted the Labor Day Challenge last weekend, attracting over 90 entries for the 1/8th and 1/10th scale off-road classes. In the Nitro Buggy category it was Jared Wiggins with the overall TQ, however in the 15-minute A-main event it was Collin Weatherholt with the win a lap in front of 3rd place qualifier, Alex Vaughn. Jared Wiggins had to settle for 3rd overall, another eleven seconds behind Alex.

Spencer Rivkin doubles at Surf City Classic

OCRC Raceway of Huntington Beach, California hosted the 12th Annual Surf City Classic race last weekend with over 310 entries for the Modified and Stock 1/10th off-road classes. In 2WD Mod Buggy it was Broc Champlin with the overall TQ but in the single 10-minutes A-main event it was 3rd place qualifier, Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin who would hold the upper hand, taking the win 5.6 seconds in front of Kyosho’s CJ Jelin as Team Associated’s Rob Gillespie came in 3rd, another two seconds down.

Pilot Orbit 1/10th buggy ceramic bearing sets

Coming from Pilot RC Products for many of today’s competition 1/10th buggy kits are Orbit ceramic ball bearings sets. The ball races are precision crafted and produced from highest grade materials governing them the ABEC rating grade 7. They are of a stainless steel rings and Si3N4 ceramic balls design and they come pre-oiled with 1up clear bearing oil for ultra free spinning and increased drivetrain efficiency. Included with each bearing kit is a complimentary bottle of 1up clear bearing lube to ensure the bearings remain properly lubed. Tamiya Top Force carbon chassis conversion kit

Tamiya have announced the soon release of a carbon fibre chassis conversion kit for the popular Top Force 1/10th 4WD vintage buggy. The set includes the lower main chassis, upper deck as well as front and rear shock towers cut from high-quality 2.0mm carbon fibre with the upper deck being decorated by white prints for added visual impact. Also included with the set come adjustable left/right thread turnbuckles that allow for easier suspension setup changes. The set will improve the buggy’s performance especially in higher grip conditions and it is usable with the original and re-release Top Force kits.
